Birchwood was surprisingly delicious I hadn't ate there in 10 years the waitress was delightful the coffee was delightful the meal was delicious it was a little spendy but it was worth it I have to tell you the building did smell a little musty other than that it was a delightful experience to be honest I don't know that I'll go back anytime soon.
Life is slower up here, and you need to adjust. When we come here we're not in a rush and we have nowhere to go—and everytime its fabulous. The service is fast and they leave you alone. They always bring a pot of coffee for us adults and we sip on it while we talk to our kids. Everything is done well and typical greasy spoon. The hash browns are crispy, the French toast is flavorful, and the omelette are cheesy. You're at the lake, chill out and enjoy the ride.
We stopped to eat at this restaurant as much as we can when we go through Aitkin. They are so accommodating to our special diets and they are so friendly. Plus the food is delicious!
