Great pancakes cover your plate. Biskets and gravy very good. Beef sandwich very good. Service very good servers very pleasant will be going back again.

I've only been here for breakfast, but it's always great! Great cinnamon rolls! This cafe always has friendly wait staff and you can park off street behind the building.

The food was good and was typical for the breakfast places in the towns nearby. However, for three of us to eat breakfast and tip, it was close to forty dollars. I got an omelette and my parents got the buffet. I feel it was overcharged for what they offer.

I always plan a stop at the Birchwood when going north ! The blueberry pancakes are amazing and CONSISTENTLY good and huge !! Servers are attentive, prices are reasonable and café is clean.

I ordered a chicken sandwich on gluten free bread and it came with a breaded chicken breast. I work in a restaurant and if the server didn't notice then cook probably should ... that breaded chicken on gluten free bread doesn't make any sense. That aside, I realize that I should have made sure I was getting grilled rather than breaded so I understood if they wanted to charge some extra for the grilled chicken breast. My grilled chicken breast was dry and flavorless and I couldn't make myself eat it. I told the person I was eating with how bad it was and pushed it aside. I wasn't going to say anything to the server because I didn't want to cause problems. Then the bill came!!!!! For my half of grilled chicken sandwich that tasted awful and plain (not homemade) potato chips and a cup of coffee....... $17 and some change!! Are you kidding me? I asked them about it and they did NOTHING! So I asked to speak to the manager (because now I am beyond disappointed) and the manager wouldn't come talk to me and told the server to take $2 off. $15 for terrible management and even worse food!! I used to love this place before the new owners and now I will not be going back!!
