My husband's first time at an A&W; he enjoyed his Spicy Papa burger. I enjoyed my double cheeseburger, patties so much better than McD. The high school kids were doing a good job behind the counter and the big kid in shorts who brought the food out. I just didn't really like the fries.
I ordered the Special - cheese burger w\fries or chili. The burger was fine. The chili wasn't warm at all. I brought it home & nuked it in the microwave before I could eat it. It was great tasting chili once it was heated up.
I tried the island cream drink on a very hot day. It was very refreshing. The restaurant was just a short walk from my motel. The next day, I stopped in again for an egg cheese croissant and root beer freeze. The breakfast menu is available all day. One of the fun opportunities is a photo op with the A&W bear. Each table has a QR code so that diners can order and pay for their food.
