Green Mill Restaurant & Bar

We were traveling through and wanted a light bite but we don't like chains. Green Mill was perfect! My husband and I split a seafood flatbread and it was delish. I also had a draft beer. Service was great and it was very clean. We plan to stop again when we're traveling through.

I will never ever recommend this place to anyone. I called to inquire about prices of pasta and delivery after speaking with the hostess For sometime, I told her what kind of dish I was looking for I requested a fettuccine with lobster. The fettuccine itself was 1499 and the lobster was apparently 899 to add which she didn’t tell me when she went ahead and ran my card which I did give her the numbers for I Did not confirm if I wanted the dish or not. Before I could even finish what I was saying, she had read my card and not even told me an Before I could even finish what I was saying, she had read my card and not even told me a total when she told me it was for 3097 for one dish. I said I don’t want that. She said I already ran your card. It will take three days to be refunded . It is now been five days almost. and I called Management to say something about my overdraft and the fact that I did not authorize her to run the card and that she did not give me a total. Management said when you give your card number that’s authorization enough I would assume you should not assume I did not say I wanted that dish. She did not give me a price and she was extremely rude about it. I would not recommend green to anyone. Certainly don’t ask to go because the A couple of the horses and the manager are kind of snotty. You should never assume ma’am do you not know the saying about that?

We have eaten here many times and the food is always outstanding. They serve burgers, salads, pizzas and the best mozzarella sticks!!

The staff were knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and gave good recommendations for vegan options. They were helpful and courteous when I asked for accommodations. The food was fresh tasted very home made. I would eat here again!

I didn't think a franchise business is worth 5 stars? But we had an excellent meal last night with seafood pasta and the local fish filled grilled. It was absolutely delicious. And the drinks from the bar also. Did I mention value for money ?

Green Mill is a staple in Albert Lea. We always make it a point to eat there when we visit Albert Lea. The food is always great with generous portions and fairly priced.

I ordered the Masala Chicken (minus mushrooms, because I am a hater and they were kind enough to accommodate it) and my two companions ordered the Langoustino Lobster and Shrimp pasta. One of the Langoustinos was a bit wrong, possibly a burnt sauce, which staff apologized for and replaced perfectly (it did take a bit of time, but as it arrived steaming it was certainly because the chef remade it fresh). My Chicken Masala came with broccoli as the vegetable of the hour and the meal was very delicious! The chicken breading was perfectly crunchy and the sauce was light and flavourful. The portion is just right to leave me full enough to contemplate a nap afterwards.
Waitress provided excellent customer service, and had the genius idea to get us cups of the raspberry iced tea (which is my absolute favourite) to go. All staff have excellent manner here, very great experience.

Green Mill in Albert Lea is amazing!! Aliyah is an incredible waitress. We came in last night and didn't know how many people were joining. The manager and staff accommodated us all with a smile and it was a lot. Great job!

Street tacos wasn't to my liking. The service was extremely slow. The atmosphere was really nice. The prices was 20% higher than what I am used to paying. I give this place a 5.

The pizza here is awesome, and they have a lot of good pasta dishes. Also, pretty darn good wings. Overall the prices have gone up a bit but that's consistent throughout most eateries and they have not let the service or quality drop so I still suggest giving these guys a try if you haven't yet.
