I had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Depot Smokehouse and Tavern in Alexandria, MN! Our server, Rachel E., was nothing short of amazing—her expert service made the meal even more enjoyable with her attentiveness and friendly demeanor. We started with the jalapeño wontons and burnt ends as appetizers, and both were bursting with flavor, setting the tone for an incredible dining experience. For our main course, the Korean barbecue wrap and fish tacos were outstanding—perfectly prepared and packed with delicious, bold tastes. The food overall was top-notch, and the patio offered a great vibe with a lovely view that added to the relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend The Depot for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service in Alexandria

A group of six of us came to the depot on Wednesday, August 6. The bar or restaurant was not busy at all when we got here and is still not busy. Our waitress was very rude and annoyed as she had to wait on us. She brought out our food at different times and when we asked for extra items she was more annoyed. She brought us our bills without asking us if we wanted anything else. We are out for an evening of fun and she made us feel that we needed to leave. We are going to try and come again tomorrow night. Hopefully the service will be better!!

We went to The Depot Smokehouse & Tavern for dinner last night! Was super busy but our awesome waitress (Emma R) was phenomenal! She keep us updated on how long our food would take, brought my 10 month old a popover to eat while we waited! Kept our drinks coming and was very busy with other tables as well!! 100/10 would go back just to have her as our waitress!

Typically I don’t write reviews, but here’s my issue…we got a chicken sandwich and asked for cheddar cheese instead of pepper jack. They charged a “substitution fee” of $1.00.
We asked to do salad bar for our child’s side instead of fry’s (10 year old girl..not going to eat much)…Thinking this would be the same as the “upgrade” for an adult meal ($3.95)…nope they charged her a whole additional children’s meal ($6.95). She had a 1/2 cup of soup and a scoop of yogurt….
The food was ok, the service was great! But I don’t think I will be back based on their asinine fees.

Do not get any type of brisket. It is dry and it doesn’t taste good it did not come out moist and soft. It came out very dry and there was no taste to the brisket. I highly recommend not ordering anything with brisket. It’s basically reheated meat.

We were there with another couple and all our food was great. Service was good but alittle slow on the drink end. Our server was friendly and did a great job. The food was all very good. Portions were perfect. We all had different baskets and all left happy and full. Definitely would recommend
What a Wonderful experience at The Depot! The Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza, Lemon Shandy Beer and the Service was all Amazing!! We will be back very soon!!

It was hard to choose what to order because all the menu items were tempting.
I ordered the Burnt Ends appetizer, so tender and delicious.
The Holy Bacon Burger with a side of Pineapple Coleslaw was Amazing!

Enjoyed the outdoor seating and view of lake. Just what we were looking for. Burnt ends appetizer was fabulous, so tender and seasoned perfectly! The nite special was 1/2 rack ribs .. Delicious! Our waitress, Emma was exceptional. Thank you for making us feel welcome and special guests of this establishment!

it was awesome. although it took abt an hour to get food. but I don't blame then they have a lot of people here. otherwise that. free refills. yummy food and our waiter was so kind. sadly she did got one meal wrong nuts it's ok! so recommend
