We are local and decided to give the restaurant a try. It was a very disappointing experience to say the least. We frequently dine out and have experienced many restaurants and types of cuisine and levels of service. The food was low-quality and subpar. I ended up sending my entree back to the kitchen (only the 2nd time in my life I’ve ever had to do that). The manager was defensive in trying to justify the situation, but did end up taking it off our bill as requested. On our way out, the manager was at another table addressing a separate complaint. During our meal we heard that table talking about how dry and overcooked the ribs were. There are much better places to spend money on eating out in the area, in my opinion. Skip this place.

We are having real issues with the hotel not giving us a refund. As of 7/2025 they were still open. I went to may reservations for my daughter's Birthday and was informed that they the hotel has taken a different direction and are no longer taking reservations. I have been working getting a refund. Having troubles. 10/18/25 The 19th (tomorrow) is her Birthday. I will update next week. So far it is thumbs down. R.Bona

This is a nice, homey hotel/restaurant. We did not stay.at hotel. Had good meal on patio. Air Co ditio er around corner er was very loud tho.

First time to eat here. The food was very good. However, our server was horrible! Waited for water refill after we had to mention it several times. Had to remind her of our drinks while we waited and waited. Our entrees were served while we were eating our first outs (salad and soup) and she tried to take our food before we were finished! For a place with such exceptional food the service should reflect that. Will give this place another try but if seated with same server we are leaving. We usually are 25-30% tipper with good food and service but we're less than 10% for this visit. Wish l could leave a 4star review for food but that wasn't an option.

Friendly staff. But unfortunately the flys were bad. Then when our food came out anything with spinach on it had small little black bugs flying around. Noticed towards end of dinner so we didn’t eat all our food after our stomachs turned.

The staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is calming and fun. The outside patio is great in the warmer weather. I am a local so I did not stay in the rooms. I have toured them. They have a classic feel to them. I also hear some are haunted.
My friend and I came here for a late lunch, we ordered two burgers. Mine was fine…. but my friend ordered a pulled pork cheeseburger and received NO BURGER! We didn’t notice right away (3 bites in), when we did notice and asked for a discounted meal they refused to refund us. Even if it was a discounted 10-15% would’ve made us happy. Honestly, this place keeps getting new employees that look like they’re smoking crack mixed with pcp. We can pay over $30 for a meal, but the employees don’t even know if they have more than just American cheese……

We called ahead for a large party and they were very accommodating. The drinks and food were well prepared. The staff was very attentive. We were surprised by the variety in the menu. The patio wasn't open yet but it looks like it would be nice.

The Thayer was amazing to looks at as well as the atmosphere. The food , drinks and service were outstanding and it will definitely become a place I try to visit often. Well done!!
