We travel the country full-time and love finding places like this. We were in town for our first Potato Days and came here for dinner when we got into town. The staff was super friendly, the beer selection was great, the pizza is famous. They had an outside beer tent during the festival. So smart.

Stopped by the Purple Goose for lunch while traveling. Had the Walleye sandwich with Coleslaw & the Cheeseburger with Onion Rings. Both were delicious. Great place located in a quaint little town. Definitely worth a visit.

I don't know about the food and service, but they need to do something about their AC. Walked in noticed it was hot as heck and walked right back out. No way I'm eating a hot meal in a hot room.

THE best coffee EVER.
After a long, stressful drive, I stumbled upon this charming bistro-style café. I didn’t expect much—just hoping for a decent cup to keep me going. But as soon as that rich, boiling coffee touched my lips, I felt… invigorated? How could such bold, complex flavors emerge from what seemed like an ordinary cup? It was an awakening. Awake Awake Awake?!

I just had the best burger in years at the Purple Goose in Barnsville, MN. This is a Jewel of a find. A Travelers delight for an excellent meal and the best service I've had in a long time. Suzanne was such a joy to talk to with a warm, sunny smile. Good service, good food, and warm smiles. ?

First off, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The large menu has something for everyone and even a bowl of ice water for our dog.

The meals were great, the beer came in GIANT glasses and the total bill was very reasonable.

This place is highly recommended and you should make a point to drop in if you're passing.

Parking: PLENTY of parking right out the front.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids in there too - but well behaved - this is not a noisy place.

We recently dined at the Purple Goose Eatery and Drinkery and had a fantastic experience. Jamie, our server/bartender, was attentive and friendly, making our visit even more enjoyable. We started with the duck wontons, which were absolutely delicious. The beer cheese soup was rich and flavorful, and for our main courses, we had the BLT and the Parmesan Crusted Turkey Bacon Melt, both of which were outstanding. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. If you’re driving through, definitely make a stop at the Purple Goose Eatery and Drinkery. You won’t be disappointed!
