Shoreline Restaurant Bar and Bowl

Had the Monday steak special a few times. The first time last fall was good, but since then it’s terrible, my jaw’s sore from chewing.

I’ve been going to the Shoreline for 40 plus years, my mom worked there for many years. I loved their food! If you are even just passing through Battle Lake stop in and check it out. The staff is great, food as mentioned is great, creative, and huge portions. 10/10, would recommend.

Parking: About 15 spots in front but many more in back.

Wheelchair accessibility: Two HC spots right up front with easy barrier-free access into the building.

I grew up in Battle Lake and always found it to be a welcoming and friendly place. The Shoreline Restaurant was one of our favorite places for breakfast. We came back to the area for a class reunion and I went to the shoreline for some takeout breakfast. The girls behind the bar were extremely unfriendly and the service poor. It was a sad experience that ruined childhood memories.

They're trying but sometimes food dies in the window while pizzas are cooking. Timing can be an issue. Great food though when it's done all right and comes out on time.

We stayed at the Battle Lake Inn and eat here. WOW! Great food, excellent service. It was really good. It was busy but there is an amazing amount of seating. A bar, a patio and rooms further back to sit in as well. We told the server we had to be at church to a baptism and our food got a speedy rush. Much appreciated! Picture, that is a breakfast at a reasonable price and a thermos of coffee too. Delicious.

Chicken wild rice soup with unknown ingredients that had NO flavor and Rueben sandwich that had NO sauerkraut

I would give ZERO stars if this were an option. Stopped with my kids and was told to leave by the waitress who refused to seat us on a Friday night because it was “too close to 9:00 pm” and we were told to leave as the “kitchen is closed.” She said go to the Rusty Nail and walked us to the door. Bar was packed. Restaurant was full. She wouldn’t serve us. Really disappointing.
