Cute place, marvelous service, very good food, fairly over-priced. Due to our first choice being closed early, we wandered up here. It was a cold, dreary evening, perfect for a warm, friendly "hole-in-wall" eatery. We were warmly greeted (and bid safe travels), quickly seated (the "tourist" season is over, so we practically had the place to ourselves), and pleasantly waited upon. The only disappointment was spending, with tip, $60 per person for just 4 meals and 1 appetizer. This is rural Minnesota! I've never paid that much for any equivalent meal in the city where I live, so it was a double shock. So, if the price is of no relevance to you (my brother and his wife), we do highly recommend Stevelly's. For my wife and I, we thank you for a good meal, great service, and a unique experience.

This place is great and has something for everyone. From soup and salads to pasta and steaks. One of my favorites has long been their chicken fingers with from scratch bbq sauce—all white meat, panko crusted and not greasy, thin and fork tender. Beer cheese soup (soup du jour) was also excellent.

I was so looking forward to taking my wife out for our 2 year wedding anniversary. Our waitress was kind which was the only good thing about our dinner. I love barbecue ribs, and these were really burnt. I only ate two of them. My wife got the wrong dinner given too. The very worst part was that the manager never once came over to our table to see if there was anything she could do to make things right. We were the only ones in the restaurant and felt that we were forgotten most of the time. I hate writing negative reviews, but in this instance felt the need too.

The steaks (filet, ribeye, and NY strip) were awesome! Portions and seasonings spot on. The sourdough hard rolls were worthy of seconds. Simple salads, nice potatoes, fresh broccoli. Lava fudge cake dessert, perfect for sharing.
