We went at 7:00pm during Labor Day weekend and they were packed!! They still made sure you could get a drink and appetizer in their bar side while you waited for your table. The servers were all wonderful and, told you good suggestions for your next one. Our bartender Becca absolutely killed it and was handling the whole room almost. When we got sat, immediately our server Amber asked if we needed new drinks! The dining room was packed. We missed the prime rib which at first I was bummed but then I got the ribeye and even forgot I was sad about the prime rib! I’ve never sliced through a ribeye so easily… it was heaven. I had to stop from trying to eat the whole thing and it was huge, worth every penny to be honest. Also the owner was working her butt off! It’s amazing to see the owners working just as hard if not harder. She was checking on everyone’s tables saying hi. She stopped by ours and said we need to try the corn and I was like oh bummer next time and she ran back with a side and said to mix it was our potato. It was absolutely heaven in a potato! We didn’t get any photos cause the food was too good. It was my birthday weekend and my wonderful server Amber brought my ice cream cone with a candle and the restaurant sang happy birthday. I knew Battle Lake has better customer service than most towns around but I was blown away last night. Even being slammed they made you feel special and have a good night. We can’t wait to go back for the prime rib!!

I have been to many high end steak houses. This place is a diamond in the rough for sure. Steaks and prime rib were excellent. Lionized potatoes were stellar. Service was just great. A definite gem

This is an exceptional restaurant. The seafood is seasoned to perfection with plenty of drawn butter. They start with a traditional garden salad (a thing of the past for most restaurants) and a fresh made loaf of bread with three types of dough. To express it in plain english; this is a Minnesota throw back to my childhood treat. It is an example of how a restaurant should be.

We've been going here for 30+ years. Not sure what happened. In the last year, the meat quality went downhill, fish tastes like it was frozen for months. Hash browns used to be awesome but are now greasy and not as good. Oh, and if you order wine at a high end restaurant, they open it at your table so you can see that you are getting what you paid for... They don't do this anymore. If you order wine here, definitely request that they open it at the table because I am very suspicious that I might not have gotten what I paid for last time. In any case, we come up to the lake in the summer and spend a ton of money eating out, and this place is now permanently off our list, which is too bad because we used to come here every weekend. Whatever kind of cost cutting is going on is going to put this place out of business and the owners need to step it back up. I've also heard the same sentiment from neighbors who have either lived here or been coming to this area for decades. Something is up with Stubs, and we're all mad about it.

Hearty portions of up north fish, steaks & prime rib on the weekends. Good food @ friendly atmosphere. Sunfish and halibut cheeks were great!

The last 2 times I and my son have had steak and lobster bites. We both agreed it was good, but the steak was nothing to write home about... like it used to be! Mid range at best. The price requires a better cut. Service was excellent.

They are open for lunch!!! Delicious walleye & steak sandwiches, excellent fries & onion rings!!!

Very noisy could not have a conversation with the other people at the tableTook two hours and 30 minutes to eat and quality of food was not like it was in years past

We loved the new atmosphere. The food was great. Baked sweet or reg potato is a bonus. There is an awesome bar/ dance hall in the back….soon to be open.
