Idk if there have been new owners in last few years, but we have waited and waited to be waited on. Place order last three times we’ve been there. One time I saw our order on window for approx 10 minutes before it was brought to our table. We went in today and ordered our same thing. My drink wasn’t made correctly, and our waiter comes out and tells us our order will be a little longer because the chicken was over cooked. I saw four orders go out as it wasn’t busy. We didn’t get an I’m sorry or a discount…. Just it will be a little longer. Food isn’t as good as it used to be. Service isn’t as good as it used to be. Oh yes….I got a free mimosa one time when we went in on Mother’s Day. It was completely warm. So much for a “free” mimosa. I was going to bring family there when they come up from NC to visit, but that is not going to happen. So long Rusted out old Nail!!!

We had lunch today (Monday) at the Rusty Nail. Most other restaurants in town are closed on Mondays, but glad these guys were open. Got served right away, and food arrived with little wait. I had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich ( see photo), which was perfect!!!! The bun was soft and fresh!!!!

August 31,2024-We visit this place every year since 2012 - we vacation here. This year’s service was extremely bad. We ordered appetizers- wings and steak bites which are normally amazing. This year our wait time was long 1 hour. A table came in after us and received appetizers before we did. I asked the waiter - he said “I can’t help the order in which the kitchen cooks the food. I explained it wasn’t good that tables came in after us were receiving food and we hadn’t. He left. My SO sees the female waitress with our food - hands it to the male waiter and sends him our direction. My wings were not hot and barely like warm at that point so I tell the waiter- (normally piping hot). He takes half off my wings. We went to pay- SO asked do I go tot he counter or are you going to take care of this - order was 30 some- was given a 50 and asked if we needed change - while we would have normally tipped very well his performance was terrible- so no 20 dollar tip. He left with the money- didn’t come back waited 15-20 minutes - the female waitress asked what we were waiting on so we explain. The male waiter comes back carrying food for other tables. 2 other tables to be exact- the female waitress tells him to get us our change - he drops the change on the floor - at this point so frustrated we just turned and left. Will really contemplate coming back it was literally that bad.

Our server was great. Owner not so much….told us we should go to another restaurant.
Wait staff was very friendly but owner was the real issue, very argumentative and displayed childish behavior when we asked to have our nachos re made.argued with me that the chips were not stale.

Walked in and took 10 minutes to clean one table. My girlfriend was charged for mayo….. and didn’t get cheese on her burger. Service was slow. Good was mid. Place is nice inside. Just slow ppl working. Watched 2 tables go uncleaned for more than 15 minutes and watched 2 couple walk out bc of that….

Worst restaurant experience we have ever had!!! We placed an order for a couple of appetizers and our daughter ordered wings. We had ordered the nachos with the pico and sour cream on the side, but everything game out in small containers on the side. Once we assembled our nachos and were able to eat them…the chips were soggy. We told the waitress they were soggy. They then brought us out new chips only…ridiculous! Were we supposed to scrape everything back off and put them on the new chips? The owner then came out and said…what is the problem? We explained what happened and he argued with us that the chips weren’t soggy and let us know he was too busy to deal with this. We asked for them to be taken off our bill and he said no. He then went back and grabbed a chip from our plate and said they are just fine…and snapped one in half. What kind of business owner has this type of childish behavior? His waitress was even embarrassed! The best part is that not only will we never be back, but the other tables in the patio also thought it was absolutely ridiculous and said they will never be back. Don’t give this man any of your business!!

It was a bad night for the rusty mail. $8 drafts were flat, fries had so much salt they were inedible. The place was great last year. I don’t know what happened. And the $19 islander hamburger was not too good. I would suggest you get a beer and sandwich somewhere else.
