Great bar and full liquor store. Some great prices on some of the alcohol in the store. Clean bathrooms. We were able to decorate the lower game room for a party. Dart boards, pool table, and a few games made it a great stop for our group. Hamm's Beer on tap, as well as others, frozen drinks, and cocktails.

We use to love stopping by here on our way to Duluth MN. The last time I was there I asked the bartender what a certain type of beer tasted like. A local tough guy (fat middle aged boozer) with a couple locals yelled across the bar aggressively “It’s beer! Just order one!” It wasn’t busy in the bar (it was 4pm) and this guy was looking for trouble. I was with my wife so I shrugged it off. I’m pretty sure this guys dog was also walking around in the bar so he is known to the locals. He starred me down when we left after a quick pint. We decided to stop in there again on our way back from Duluth. The same group of guys were in there. We just left. Won’t be back. I’m sure good-salt of the earth folks still frequent but my last few experiences have been with obnoxious locals looking for a fight. We have met some wonderful people in there over the last 15 years. We’ll miss the smile from the bartender when he sees we brought him his favourite Canadian ‘crystal beers’ and ‘all dressed’ chips.

Baptism River Barbeque Co., is in same lot as Green Door Liquor, an not to be missed. Had their special: beer cheese grilled cheese, chicken added, with side of smoked cauliflower. Enjoyed both but the grilled cheese is well worth every calorie. Also tried their pulled pork burger/sandwich...melts in your mouth.
GO next door to Green Door and buy 1919 Root Beer!
