We ate at The Big Fish Thursday evening with another couple.. The atmosphere was warm & cozy. The waitress was friendly & efficient. We were all happy with our meals. 2 had broasted chicken dinners, 1 had the shrimp dinner & I had the Philly steak sandwich, which was outstanding. We highly recommend The Big Fish Supper Club !!

We were very excited to eat here as part of our vacation experience. Upon arriving, we were almost immediately told that the special, the broasted chicken, was not available and was being replaced by something else, which wasn't an issue because stuff happens(although we did go for the chicken as we heard it is awesome). We all ordered the fish and fries except 1 person who ordered the broiled shrimp dinner. After we got our food, we noticed that several people who came in and ordered after us were being served the broasted chicken. The broiled shrimp was luke warm at best, and was served with butter flavored cooking oil (the stuff you squirt on the griddle) vs melted butter. The fish was fine and the waitress was very pleasant, but overall it was a very strange and disappointing experience.

Awesome food, friendly staff. Got to sit at the bar 'cause we forgot to call for reservations. (Highly recommended to call for a reservation as they turn away 30-40 people every night who didn't call ahead). Walleye dinner was outstanding. Ribs were super tender and smoky. Broasted chicken that my friends from Texas ordered said it was the best they've ever had. Did I mention the friendly staff? Also sat next to Al the owner. Great guy, friendly, and knows regulars by name. It was a long drive to Bena and the Big Fish but 10/10 we will be back again!!
Nice place as a roadside attraction but didn't get out of the car due to swarming horse flies.

The Philly cheese steak with fries is amazing!! We also had the shrimp for an appetizer which was out of this world!! cocktails are also excellent!! We'll be back! ❤️

We stopped for a photo op at this as suggested on a Rt2 blog. So glad we did. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed at the time. You have to be on 2 lane roads to see these kind of cool roadside attractions !
