Every sausage or brat I’ve tried has been excellent.
I bought two "Rutabaga" pasties recently. WHAT rutabaga? I couldn't see or taste it in either. I might as well have bought two without. The crust had the flavor and texture of shoe leather, and there were more potatoes than anything else in them. GROUND MEAT makes them less appealing. At $8.50 each, I could have gone to Super One and bought at least three of their varieties for $17.00. My mom was born and raised in Chisholm. We ate homemade pasties with RECOGNIZEABLE rutabaga, cubed (not ground) beef and crust with flavor, at least every two months, year-round. NEVER AGAIN, CARLSON'S!
I’ve had a lot of pasties over the years between Northern Minnesota and the upper peninsula of Michigan. I have to say these are definitely my favorite. They cook great, the consistency is awesome (drier like they should be but no condiments needed). All the other locals I talked to like them too! I have gotten hooked on their jalapeño beef sticks. I want to try the others but I am too hooked on this flavor! Perfect meat to cheese ratio, nice and soft which I love (if I wanted something tough I would get jerky!) Definitely recommended! I work and live and work in this community and highly recommend trying them out!
Stopped in to get a couple frozen pastys for later. Got two with rutabaga. I thawed and then cooked them in the air fryer. Came out great, good consistency! A little on the drier side just like a pasty should be but not so dry that you had to use condiments. Definitely will be back. I am local and would recommend to anyone I meet. Looking forward to trying the sausages next. I make pizzas down the street from here and this business is a great part of our local community!

Decided I’m done stopping in here. I’ve stopped in many times and they never have any pasties to choose from. The guy behind the counter always has the same excuse of they sold out that morning. I’d think by now they would make a few more so they don’t run out. After all, they are throwing them in a freezer after they make them. The other issue I have is the price of the pasty. For what they are charging it is not a good value. Their pasties are mostly bread and potatoes or rutabagas. Where’s the meat? Where’s the Value? There is none.

Great pasty! Great customer service!
These pasty’s are AMAZING but they also have great beef sticks, Polish, and potato sausage!!!
Well worth the stop, loved the pastys, very filling, get some frozen ones to go. They had a great orange cream soda too.
Friendly small town place to eat, the pasty was delicious! This was a perfect place to stop and sit in the sunny windows to eat a hot pasty and warm up after a chilly day watching a ski meet. Thank you!
Small party and sausage shop. The traditional pasty was amazing! Highly recommended!
