I give it only 1 star because when I was in the men's restroom, one of the kitchen staff came out of a stall - he left without washing his hands, yuck. Food was not hot. Short on wait staff - slow service. Management better talk to ALL the help.

This place sucks. The amount of time you have to wait is unreal. If you don't have 2 plus hour to seat and have one drink (your second drink will never come) find a different place.

We’d had a day full of errands in and around the Brainerd area. By late afternoon we still had our Costco trip ahead of us, but we were both feeling spent and weary from the day. We decided to look for a new happy hour location in Brainerd and found B Merri. The online reviews looked promising, and there were some vegetarian items on the menu so we blew off the Costco trip, crossed our fingers and headed north out of town. The vibe was exactly what we were looking for, and the staff was friendly. Our waitress, Hannah, was devoted to making sure we were enjoying ourselves. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she offered us samples of IPAs she thought we might like (We did!) Our favorite was an IPA called “Old geezer” or something like that. Bright and refreshing. Hannah recommended the bruschetta platter. It was gorgeous and delicious. Quality shaved parm, fresh cherry tomatoes, halved and drizzled with balsamic, little baby smoked mozzarella balls, caramelized onions, fresh pesto with slices of bread that were soft and perfectly toasted with a light crunch. The chef made a specialty sandwich for us out of portabellas and Hannah recommended the sweet potato fries for the side. I cannot remember ever having better. Crispy and flavorful with a yummy sauce for dipping.
We highly recommend B Merri and look forward to returning! Thanks to Hannah and Chef for turning our afternoon around!

We enjoyed lunch on the patio around noon on a perfectly sunny day. Great burgers, sandwiches, and home-made-beef stew! Our server was very friendly and efficient. She was also the bartender and hostess that day, so doing everything. She deserves a raise.
This is a fun place to go. For lunch year - round, but summer is great with their lovely patio. The menu is always changing and interesting. They have a great bar, complete with fancy mocktails. Love this place.

Need to figure out if they want customers. Walked in and sign said seat yourself. Grabbed a table, and waited for 15 minutes before a waitress stops by. She then tells us it's a 15 minute wait before they can help us. Then why have seat yourself. This is the second time and last time for us to go there, which is sad because their food was good (when you could get service).
