At Coco Moon Coffee Bar downtown Brainerd the atmosphere is colorful and fun. Limited additional seating outside seating on the sidewalk.

Went there during business hours today per the website and the hours matches the sign on the door when we arrived, but it was not open and dark.
I loved this place when the previous owner, owned it. Now that one of her baristas bought it, it's considerably gone downhill. No predicability as to if they'll be open even if the hours on the door say they are. Or constant sorry but we're closed due to this and that, and I'm not just referring to inclement weather days. Several times I've stopped before 10 am and that were completely sold out of all baked goods, and since they don't have a license to make any of it, it has to be pulled from the freezer and thawed for the next day. When I mentioned to the barista taking my others on these occasions, that it was pretty odd to rub out of baked goods when they hadn't been open even half their business hours for that day, each time I was told, we pull plenty of stuff to get us through the day. Obviously not if you're running out of bagels, scones, bars, etc. With zero food options, and left with only beverages to sell for over half the day. You're losing money on the people who want to purchase a latte as well as a bagel, or an Americano and a scone. And now instead of taking the time to wash the chalk off their board and take a few minutes to update prices, they have a piece of paper taped to the board that says prices are subject to change. You lost a customer who'd been coming in for over 20 years. The new owner is horrible at operating a business efficiently and knowing how much product to have on hand, and while she's updated some of the seating, it makes it feel less inviting, and has lost it's charm that it was known for.

I really enjoy Cocoa Moon. Very good coffee and chi tea. Generally is busy, just shows that it’s a much loved place to go. Great place to visit with a friend or to work on your lap top

I got the london fog, smores frappe and hot chocolate, all were great. Cheaper than other local coffee shops too! Really really nice staff. I was trying to leave with my hands full and my toddler was throwing down, and someone handed me a whip cup for her :) cozy interior makes it a great coffee stop to sit inside. Order for 4 drinks was fast too.

Iconic downtown location. Busy vibe on weekday mornings with many who walk to the shop to get coffee. A pleasant break from all the drive thru coffee shops.

Great experience! Delicious drinks! Chill atmosphere! It was cool talking with one of the workers about music. Very relatable.
Just moved in a block over. Came in thinking this was a coffee house.
Ordered a medium Columbian roast.( as in for 4 bucks brew me a cup of coffee) she says you can pick from these. Some plastic thermos full of flavored coffees! Then the coffee is lukewarm and tastes like it's 2 hours old! I can understand pre-made coffee for your suger syrup shit. But when someone wants a real cup of coffee this place sure is not it! Disappointing the place seemed cool, like I could stop in daily for my coffee, but Holiday has the better cup.

Came in a little late not knowing there hours. Been coming here for years. Owner said that there closed but still insisted on making us coffee. 10/10 would recommend. Best staff and best coffee around by far.

i got my artwork in there on February 1st and had it in there until the morning of the 19th. there was a payment issue between me and my ex and i intended to resolve it by giving her half for putting her artwork up, simply speaking we had a fair agreement and nothing was wrong with that. Dawn, the owner, had been very disrespectful to me over the phone about some kind of "drama" that apparently existed over said artwork, i went and collected the money for a previous sale of artwork and she had already taken down all of my art before i had gotten there and i had said "i am a human i deserve to be treated fairly and with respect" and i was told by dawn "i am respecting you but i do not want to hear the drama" and i didnt have a clue with what she was talking about and i tried to ask what kind of drama there was between me and my ex, and she denied me to talk about it but instead just putting her hand in my face and refusing to talk to me, almost like a child. i say well its nobodies business anyway what goes on between my ex and I and she comes out and loudly says "this is coco moon if it happens in here we deserve to know it" overall the experience with dawn with her demeanor towards me the entire time for no good reason whatsoever was unapologetic and unforgiving and at the same time very cold and abrasive and i would not recommend any artist come here and display their artwork unless they are willing to deal with disrespect personally from the owner.
Best place to get coffee in town. The atmosphere is killer. The coffee is good and the drink selection is really solid. The baked goods they offer are also tasty.
