We had a great attentive server. Happy hour was two for one, anything under $10. I had good wine with a generous pour. Husband had a good scotch. Our food was great and bigger portions than we could finish. This place should be busy every day. It just needs to be discovered! No doubt we will be back soon.

Dunmire's offered a nice, casual atmosphere for a morning breakfast. The server was friendly and reasonably prompt but seemed rushed. The menu offered the usual variety of breakfast options; however, the food itself was either unremarkable, overcooked, or cold. Overall, the experience was soso, but I probably won't return for breakfast.

They had Prime Rib on Friday night! A queen or king that was absolutely delicious! Cooked to perfection. Choice of potatoes, au gratin, baked, garlic mashed potatoes. I went with the garlic mashed potatoes. Unbelievable how good they were! Don't know who is cooking but, they sure have it going! The chicken wild rice soup was so good I was tempted to just have the soup. Dessert was a win, carrot cake with a caramel sauce and real whipped cream it I thought it was. When I first walked in, I was met by the receptionist, who treated me like I was a regular there. She showed me to the table and you were immediately comfortable. My waitress was Devaney and she made you feel as you were her only table. She was just that good! Dunmires on the Lake is a dining experience that I will definitely repeat. I had heard it was good but , it's well beyond good !
Parking: On a busy night it can be a bit tricky!

My husband and I had the “special” which was a shredded chicken sandwich with bacon jam and melted cheese on a hoagie roll. It was so disgusting!!
The chicken was dry and the cheese sauce was grainy and tasteless.

Server was nice. Food came out fast. I got the Elwood Burger and it was good but the carmelized onions were very hard, slimy, and discolored. Waitress did offer me new ones politely but I declined. Food pretty expensive for mediocre to good taste at best. Pretty inside, maybe table and chair styles are outdated, but otherwise nice atmosphere.
