I really like the bar. It's a great place to sit down and eat. Good food, good beer selection, and plenty of TVs for game day but not too many TVs make it awkward if you're just there for food.

We have been to the Birds Nest before and have actually loved going there. The food has been phenomenal, atmosphere, and service. Unfortunately, last night was one of those nights where we were disappointed. The food was great, but we had came specifically for there wraps, which the waitress had rudely stated those were unavailable after bringing our drinks and already looking at the menu (unsure why, as all the ingredients for a wrap were served into other meals). They also had stated they were not doing any onion rings because they are “backed up with 80 orders of those”. I suppose Birds Nest does some take out orders, but as far as the restaurant portion, it was just us and another table when we got there. The rest were at the bar and a majority were not eating. We decided on burgers, which were great and the food was not the issue besides unavailability. If I could give a zero star for service I would. Our waitress- On the ticket last name is Hein, was extremely rude and did not give/provide that friendly atmosphere, to the point where my family felt highly uncomfortable. She rushed us for our order, had an extremely rude demeanor when taking our order and actually snapped at me to slow down instead of just nicely asking me too (As I was unaware). Right off the bat she just did not seem that she wanted to be there and appeared to take this out on her customers. I almost said something myself to her for how she was acting, but I’ll leave this review which I never do. I will say the only time she was “nice”, was when I did her job for her and stacked our food baskets, silverware, napkins etc. when finished eating. We love to tip when we go out and we were nice enough to tip what we had, which was not even close to what we normally would have tipped to a friendly waitress who is happy to do there job!

So, I've been at JJs many time through out the years and have had very good service. I recommend jjs to my daughter and her family and today they had a waitress around 40 that was absolutely horrible. I plan to stop by and address this personally with the owner. I'm very disappointed with what happened tonight ? ? ? ?

Lots of elbow space in this place. Has a sandy beach area with a dock, volleyball net, some outdoor seating and a fire pit. Menu is underwhelming and leaves much to be desired. Their mushroom and swiss burger is tasty. Served with ore-ida type fries for an extra $2. 1919 rootbeer on tap. Overall a decent place to eat a burger.
