When we walked in the door we were immediately greeted and asked if we wanted a booth or table. Then were then brought to a booth. Waitress brought waters out right away. Since it was our first time being there, we asked for recommendations. Waitress was very willing to discuss menu specials and her favorites. We ordered our food and drinks. A salad was brought out within minutes as were the drinks. Shortly after finishing salads our food was brought out. Waitress asked if there was anything further needed at that time. We indicated not at the moment. Waitress was very attentive. Food was delicious. Place was clean and felt comfortable. We will be back! Thank you.
I ordered the chicken parm. The sauce was acidic and watery. The only thing that was good was the chicken. Breadsticks came out after we got done easting.

I went with my parents on a recent Friday night and we all left underwhelmed. I didn’t realize that half restaurant is still Prairie Bay, but you can get the Baia Della (Italian) menu on either side. The dishes we got were Chicken Parmesan (chicken was over cooked and the dish was like warm - seemed like it had been sitting a while; overall average flavor), lasagna (served warm but average; didn’t love or hate the sauce) and wild mushroom tortelloni (this had a weird and unexpected sweet taste to it that ruined the dish). The waitress was good and hustling around, but she was priortizing some tables over others.

Best Italian through out the lakes area! My husband and I enjoyed the Bruschetta, Caesar salad, pizza rolls and penne vodka pasta and red wine! Service was impeccable! Thank you Kaitlyn for your personalized service and bringing such joy to our experience! We will enjoy the cheesecake at home!

The $16 calamari was very disappointing. Don’t order it. It took almost 20 to get our appetizer and it was overcooked and undercooked as the pieces are all different sizes. The fettuccini Alfredo was fair and the mushroom pizza was quite tasty… it saved the meal. The service was spotty. Wanted to sit outside at lunch (one reason we chose this place), it was a beautiful summer day and they wouldn’t serve us out there. The dining room is loud, cold and hard booths. Kind of a bummer.

I had tried calling for several days to make a reservation as we had a larger group (12) and wanted to plan ahead. The phone was never answered and when we arrived we were turned away as they weren’t able to serve that large of a group. Highly disappointed with the service.
We had a wedding rehearsal dinner here. Everyone left hungry. The pizza was dry and cold. The atmosphere was very boring. The waitress was great, but they only had one for 50 people, and the poor thing was pregnant and running her butt off. We felt bad for her. Anyway, the entire crowd got a real meal when we left at the many other restaurants around there. MAYBE this place is OK for date night. But any big party, no-way!! They way overcharge!!

My husband and I loved Prairie Bay before they rebranded as Baia Della. It was always our go-to date night restaurant. I've been there three times now since they reopened and unfortunately, I've left disappointed each time.
Our most recent experience started out a little confusing. The restaurant is now divided into two separate areas. You need to choose which menu you want to order from, Baia Della or Prairie Bay. My husband pointed out how it would be nice to have both options, especially if you are in a larger party with different preferences. I asked and both menus are cooked from the same kitchen. We did choose Baia Della this time.
Service was okay, though our waitress wasn't overly friendly and seemed stressed. Unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment. We ordered lasagna and chicken alfredo. The lasagna noodles were so over cooked the consistency was like mush. It was really difficult to eat and even the flavor of the dish was really diffrent than a typical Italian lasagna. The alfredo noodles were also over done, though not quite as mushy as the lasagna. Unfortunately, the chicken was blacked to the point of having a strong burned flavor that over powered the dish.
We left disappointed with the overall experience and the quality of our meals, especially for the price.

Restaurantji Recommends
We went for the first time tonight and this place is delightful. My daughter has gone here often so it came with good recommendations. The bruschetta was fab and the wild mushroom tortellini was to die for. Lovely servers and great atmosphere. This place is a gem.
TLDR: the food is fine, restaurant clean, and has friendly staff
The staff: All staff interactions were great, they were friendly and helpful without being too involved, absolutely no complaints here
The Facility: Very clean seating area, bar area, and bathroom. The decor was nice, not a ton of it but just enough to provide a nice atmosphere.
The food: The food was ok. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo at a base price of $12 which is not bad but to add chicken it was an extra $6 which seemed a tad much. It came with a salad which was quite good. The main course was fairly large, definitely enough to fill you up. It wasn’t the best tasting Alfredo I’ve had but was certainly not the worst. The grilled chicken was a bit disappointing, especially considering the added price. There was quite a small amount and it was a bit dry and slightly burnt in some areas.
Overall a fine place to eat, nothing too spectacular but no major complaints either.

What an unexpected surprise!! Visiting from out of state, wanted to try something local. So glad I did. The mushroom tortellini is literally the best I've ever tasted. Several types of mushrooms, sauce so yummy I can't describe. Absolutely gourmet quality. The Italian salad was also a lovely beginning full of veggies & fresh-sliced parm. Service was wonderful & attentive. Definitely worth a repeat visit next time I'm in town!
