Salads so big we had left overs which is not a bad thing. And tasted really good. On the left a taco salad and on right a cheft salad with a soft buttery Bread Stick.

This is simply a comfortable small town cafe. Limited but home cooked menu.

I don't think it was the best breakfast in 43 miles or whatever the billboard said...the service was pretty slow but I only saw one waitress and we were there on a Monday morning around 10. It was somewhat busy but not packed. The food was adequate but again, nothing special. My partner ordered scrambled eggs but got like an egg omelet??? See picture with pancakes.

Good home style cooking. Great breakfasts and delicious coffee cake.

My friend ordered the Cookee Skillet for $14 and it seemed like a kind of small portion for the price. Plus they forgot his toast and made another trip.I ordered the Reuben Sandwich and french fries. Their french fries are homemade but fried from a raw state. Not only were they made incorrectly but they were inedibly greasy, and didn't arrive with my food.Despite the fact that we were here at a slow period (there were two other tables and one left before ordering) our waitress was not around.Would not recommend, will not be returning

The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about. I prefer right up the street. The waitress wasn't attentive at all. Was really excited to try and turned out pretty disappointed.

They cheerfully accommodated our group. The service was excellent and the food delicious.

We were extremely disappointed with our dining experience at The Sawmill Inn. The place was filthy with ants on the table and floor next to us. The service was not good either. The server never checked back, never refilled our drinks, nor took any of our plates when done. She basically dropped the check/ticket and never even said thank you or have a good day. Our daughter said let’s leave right as we sat down and I wish we had left. However, I will say, best streusel coffee cake I have ever had, so if you order that to go, you will be golden.

A Lakes Area institution in dining! Fun decor representing the lumber industry. I love the BLT and the wild rice and mushroom omelette! And they've usually got homemade soup! Staff is always a delight.

Stopped here for lunch while we passed through town. The decor is very homey with a vintage feeling. The service was fast and friendly and the food came out quick and was very fresh. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and my wife had the bacon amercan cheese burger. Both burgers were delicious. My wife made a comment about how the bacon was perfectly cooked. The fries were also amazing. You can tell that they were cut from fresh potatoes in house. We are glad we stopped for lunch and will be back as soon as possible.

Everybody said Sawmill was great but we got average burgers and extremely greasy fries. Decor is extremely dated, too.
