Tell you what I know where I'm going, ehen I come through Brainerd, The Local 218. We enjoyed the shrimp tacos and the local burger. The truffle fries were yummy, but the best was the key lime pie, delicious! Nice roomy modern restaurant with a full bar. We'll be back to try the steak! Great find.

Nice atmosphere, food was pricey and food was just ok. I got poutine, I was hungry nearly ate the hole thing but there was no meat and the gravy was not the best. The fries were hot and crispy and the perfect shape almost McDonald's shape, nice and skinny. Crispy fries plus ok gravy and cheese equals edible. Buddy got the fish sandwich, it was unsalted and kinda bland but cooked well though. I'm posting because I love poutine and I'm hoping they will make like a beer style beef gravy with braised pork and cheese curds instead of provolone

So glad I just happened upon this restaurant as it is a little off the main drag in Brainerd. The chef waited on me and is super personable. Everything is done in house and it shows. The quality of the food is the best in the area in my opinion. I will make it my stop every time I come down from Pequot Lakes. I just wish I lived closer so I could come more often.

Very nice owners working to make the best tasting food. Food is very good. Recommend beef stroganoff. Shrimp poor boy delicious! Wonderful attentive service. Large dining space and nice large center bar! Price is fair! Not cheap but you get what you pay for. And don’t forget to save room for key lime pie!!! Fantastic!

Nice restaurant and great food. The only downside here was slow service. It took around 15 minutes before we had to ask for someone to come to our table. The service throughout the rest of our time there was very slow. The excellent food made up for the long waits.
Portions are tiny for the price. Scallops appetizer (not pictured) was 2 small pieces of scallops for $18. I cut mine into fourths to make it about $4 a corner - still not worthy. Pan seared was perfect! I got the salmon- it was a very small piece and my friend got the shrimp - a few pieces. Meal was $100 for everyone - very expensive for a bar restaurant. Good was good, portions SMALL, expensive.
