The Side Track Bar and Restaurant

Classic rural bar/restaurant vibe. A bit loud and dark. The Backtrack Chicken (chicken breast smothered in wild rice soup) was delicious and something we've never seen at a restaurant before. The Chicken Avocado Sandwich was good, as were two of the sides we had (tots and mashed potatoes). The other side - vegetables - felt like the kind you microwave. That's the only thing we wouldn't order again.

The food was really good, the staff was nice and pleasant. We had a variety of things from the menu that our group tried and everything was really good. No complaints. I would definitely go back and recommend it to family and friends.

The food was so delicious that we ate here twice in one day, which is saying alot considering we were visiting from out of town and did not want to try another restaurant. I had the blackened walleye and ribs (so freaking good) and the battered cod fish tacos. Their French onion soup is the best.

Stopped today 8/11/24 for a breakfast sandwich & bloody. Bartender was rude & didn’t seem to care if she was there or not. We try to avoid her because of that but had no choice today ? ordered the breakfast sandwich with our bloody. Waited 1/2 hour & asked her how long it would be for our sandwich & she said “ at least a half hour yet because that’s what happens when people order 1/2 hour before breakfast cut off at 11. We wouldn’t have minded if she had been pleasant about it but with her rude attitude we canceled it, paid our bill & left. Honestly we all have hectic days but she has always been rude & snappy- she needs a different job or learn customer service!!
