I ordered Afang soup (with beef) and fufu and enjoyed it very much. The people were very kind and the food was good. It was spicy, but only in a mild way. I will definitely return.

Great food! The eggplant gravy is my favorite. Best thing I ever ate. So much flavor. The potato greens are my second favorite dish. The puff puffs are a must. I’ve had some other dishes as well they have all been delicious. The jollof rice is yummy. My go to restaurant currently.

I wanna start by saying I didn’t really know how to write the service because customer service was OK but I also had like maybe a 10 second interaction with him (The man taking my order) so in my eyes that wasn’t long enough to really gauge customer service now to the disappointing part I am very disappointed because I found this place by looking up African food on Google and I read the reviews and the reviews looked like OK. I mean there was some bad ones, but there was a lot of good ones so I said OK I’m gonna give this place a chance big mistake on my part I ordered cassava leaf and egusi soup with the puff puff and rice on the side, I want to start with the foo foo and the egusi. The foo foo literally tasted texturally off like the consistency was weird not what I’m used to at all more instant potatoes that were left out I don’t know how to explain it but that’s the best I can do. the egusi had no type of flavor which is crazy because I have never tried anything from West Africa that was flavorless and somehow they found away! my puff puff were oily and very chewy not what I’m used to. now to the very worst part of the meal the cassava leaf now cassava leaf happens to be one of my favorite West African dishes and when I tell you, there was no flavor it was as if they took canned spinach from the dollar tree and called it cassava I have never in my life try cassava leaf so tasteless processed literally it seemed like baby food it was so broken down no flavor no consistency. I can’t even believe they had the nerve to serve me honestly, I don’t know who the cook is but they need to find a new one. Can’t be the same cook from the reviews! I would never go back and I didn’t even try to get my money back because I just don’t have time for conflict, but I would never go here again and this is just a review so no one makes the same mistake I did.

This is my first time eating at this restaurant and the food is so delicious especially the Jellof rice which the guy in the front recommended and also the Egusi soup with pounded yam. I love this place and I will highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants African cuisine.
Also the prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants I’ve visited.
This was my first time in African deli I was greeted, and the man took the time to explain to me the difference between two dishes that I was looking at. I was very pleased with the customer service. I ordered the fried red kidney beans with fish and oxtail, which I had to pay extra for the oxtail, no problem, then I got some Jollof rice and I got some puff puff and a hibiscus pineapple tea. Each meal that I ordered was $13. I don’t know how much extra I pay for the oxtail or how much the puff puff was because I didn’t get the itemized receipt that I asked for they just gave me a receipt with the total of $40.16 on there (just to give some context on pricing). I ordered the tea later, it was $4. Grand total spent, $44.16. I was super excited about this food. When I got home I tried the jollof rice, it tastes like nothing but aluminum can tomato sauce, and the fish was okay. My fried red beans didn’t have the mild spice as requested but they were okay. The puff puff was slightly chewier than I am used to but they were okay too. All in all, I may give it a second chance because it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t as flavorful as I am used to when it comes to African Food. 6/10
