I really wanted to like this place. I ordered the shawarma plate with roasted potatoes and the potatoes were literally raw. I called and they only offered a $8 refund. Very disappointed.

Confirmed that both locations are halal. What they advertise as shakshuka is actually shakshuka instead of mislabeled menemen like I have seen at some other restaurants. I liked their shawarma bowl and French fries the most.
The food was great and those who isn't familiar with the genre of cuisine could easily navigate the menu selection and explore the rich flavors.

Overpriced food that has no taste and texture.
14$ for a chicken pita but it’s mostly cheap iceberg lettuce.
Never again

I've been going to Falafel King since they were on Lake Street. Love the family. Love the food. Love the service. Always top notch. The only thing I can say that I dislike is that there is no option to tip the workers with a card. I don't carry cash, and being unable to tip them sometimes results in my going somewhere else. Fuoad, Saeed, please add a tip on card option.

I felr rushed to place my order.
The gyro plate was not very flavorful at all. They did not have any spicy sauce options.
Worst of all the 1 person mens restroom does not lock.

I’ve been coming to this family-owned restaurant for over 15 years, even back when they were located in Uptown. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff always treat you like family. If you’re looking for fresh, organic, authentic Middle Eastern food, this is the place to go. Consistently delicious, warm atmosphere, and true hospitality every time. Definitely a 10/10 experience!

Pulled over at random for lunch, expectations wildly exceeded. Everything was fantastic, particularly the hummus.

Can't say much about the atmosphere since I always order to go, but the food and service is consistent. They make a good beef and lamb gyro.

Restaurantji Recommends
Loved the Falafel, Tzatziki, rice fries, shawarma pita, fries & their lemonade ! The hummus was a tad bland yet still worth it! Would definitely recommend!

I visited July 26th and the service here wasn't bad. I ordered the Shwarma Platter and overall everything tasted old/bland.
The meat (Chicken, Gyro, Beef) was sitting inside of these buffet style trays that had murky water in them keeping the meats warm. The cook will place your meat on a stovetop griddle and reheat them:
I wouldn't be surprised if the left over meat is frozen and used the next day.
Again service wasn't bad, but I can't see this place passing an inspection. Overall a very bad meal, I wish I asked for a refund.

I did not realize that it was a fast food Mediterranean place. I hated everything about my food.
My falafel burger was cooked too long and the food was pretty blah. Flavors were all off. The stuffed grape leaves were so sweet and didn't eat those. The hummus was bland. The baklava was eh...not the greatest, but I suppose it could have been worse. Now...for a fast food service I paid very near $50. I definitely didn't get my money's worth.
My 10 year old absolutely loved it. 😂
The cashier didn't speak much English, but he was friendly and patient. The guy working the grill seemed nice and was accommodating. I asked him to change his gloves and he did.
We dined in. Some of the tables were dirty, but was able to find a clean table. The bathroom was clean.

Stopped by this place after a visit with a client. Never been there before but it looked interesting enough from across the road that I decided I would visit. As soon I stepped in I saw that there were two men working behind the counter. Few customers and I also saw that they had a drive thru option which was nice. The guy working the grill I didn’t really have much of an interaction with. The guy taking the orders was the one also handling the drive thru orders. Not only did I receive poor customer service but he was extremely rude even when I had told him that it was my first time there. All because I did not understand the difference sauces he was saying. Mind you I ordered a gyro and from prior experiences at other restaurants that serve gyros the sauce one is usually offered is tzatziki. I could not really understand what the other sauce he was saying was due to his thick accent. I kept saying I wanted just tzatziki and for some reason he kept acting as if I was being somewhat indecisive. Truly the worst experience I have ever had. The food was mediocre at best but what this worker(maybe owner not sure) forgot to remember is that good customer service is what brings customers back even if the food isn’t the best. I would never go back even if the food was free.
