When they first opened, the waits were long, but it is much better now. If you order with GrubHub you can time it so you don't have to wait in-store; everything is cooked to order, so otherwise you will wait there 20 minutes or so.

This is genuine Chicago-style fried chicken and fries. It's exactly how I remember it from when I lived there. Get it with hot sauce and you won't be disappointed.

(I love their chicken, but their shrimp are surprisingly good!)

Two piece Tuesday special taste old. Fries, discussing. To wait 30 minutes for 2 pieces of chicken and fries I started to leave and go to Cubs. I'll never go there again. This was my second time. I'm not going for a 3rd. NASTY!

Kind of disappointed for the first time experience. Ordered the $5 Tuesday meal (2 dark piece chicken and fries) and waited 30 minutes for it. Chicken was okay, definitely better at the Cub Deli down the block. Fries were unsalted and stale, mild sauce for 50 cents was not worth, just ketchup with an extra step. Toast smelled weird so didn’t bother with that. Only good thing was it was $5, so didn’t feel like it was a huge waste for the quantity. Wouldn’t go here again though

Edit: after much consideration, that experience haunts me. It’s a one star

Hot, crispy, and full of flavor! Harold’s chicken is fried fresh. The mild sauce is sweet and tangy and goes great with the fries and white bread. Not fancy, just straight-up comfort food. A true Chicago classic.

I am from Chicago, but live in Texas now. I don't have a Harold's chicken near me, so when I was visiting Minneapolis last weekend, I HAD to grad some chicken. Let me tell yalllll....it did NOT disappoint! I ordered through DoorDash and my food came HOT! I mean, the chicken breasts were smoking on the inside and my hotel was a 20 minute drive from the location. The taste was even better! I had LOTS of fries and the sauce was evenly distributed...iykyk! I have tried Harold's locations in other cities outside of Chicago and this is, by far...the best experience I have had. I will definitely order from here again if I'm in the Minneapolis area any time soon!
