Had the buffalo chicken sandwich and came back to try the shore sandwich. Both were great! Service and overall vibe is awesome. Will continue to recommend and stop over when I can make it.

I’m shooketh!!! I did a quick search for gluten free restaurants for Burnsville in Google Maps and Blue Ox was in the list. My eye caught another review saying they have gluten free food. I went to the website and searched high and low but I couldn’t find anything about gluten free offerings or substitutes for bread. I was just going to give up and decided to call them. I was told that they can substitute any sandwich with a gluten free bun. I really, really wanted the Ruben!! I stopped on my way home and ordered it with a gluten free bun, extra meat (not necessary, trust) thousand island dressing on the side and pickles on the side too. The best Ruben (gluten free bun) I’ve ever had was in Park Rapids. I told the employee this and he said he hopes this Ruben can live up to the expectations. I’m serious when I say that I don’t know what kind of magic is happening at Blue Ox but ✨abracadabra ✨ I have to seriously question other restaurants choices for gluten free bread offerings because this bun is magical ✨ I put it in my air fryer for a few minutes to heat everything up and this bun is amazing it’s hard to believe it’s gluten free!! I have decided to make it my mission to try every sandwich on the menu!!! If you’re celiac like myself or you’re avoiding gluten, trust me you will be hooked the first time you experience this sandwich!!!

Got our usual: French Dip, Swamp Monster (fried), and to die for potato soup. Gotta thank the kid at Mattress Firm next door for the recommendation to these new to towners. Glad we listened!

I liked my sandwich but it was way over priced. Probably won't return much.

This place is definitely one of the best spots to grab something to eat in the south metro. The sandwiches, the soups, the prices, the service, etc... all amazing! It seems like everything here is homemade and you can tell the family running the place really cares and works hard. Every foodie in Minnesota should of done a video on these guys already

Delicious sandwiches with good portions. It’s a bit out of the way due to construction but so worth it,

Simple menu but delicious sandwiches. I've tried 5 different sandwiches, each being good to great. But the one I always go back to is the Big Joe. They always drop fresh chicken and fries, so you're never getting an hour old patty. Ran by a father son duo that have found a good groove. The only issue, for them, is the location keeps it slightly hidden from general public. I like it so I don't have to stand in a line most days though.

It could be a little cheaper for just the sandwich, but they make a great sandwich. It's also not higher than you'd find in a twin cities restaurant tbf. I just limit going there to every few weeks to balance it out budget wise.

Fries are usually good. Sometimes need 20s to get a bit crisper, but that's my preference. They have soups but I only tried it once. Chicken wild rice soup was okay that day. Maybe they're better other days.

I love stopping here anytime I'm in the neighborhood. My favorite is the Honey Crisp sandwich. It has a little kick and is a refreshing vegetarian option.
