Looking for a spot with good food, good atmosphere, and a tap list with a bunch of options? This is a good place to start! Has that kinda mom and pop, family owned restaurant vibe, staff is great and very hospitable and there’s enough beers on tap that I have yet to not find at least one that I’d like. They are all about the heat when it comes to spicy, so if that’s something you’re interested in I highly recommend trying the ghost pepper sauce that they make in house...

Re-editing my review from 2015 -- I've been a local patron of JL BV since 2015 and I try to stop by on a weekly basis. I definitely supported them during the Covid lockdowns. Their burgers and chicken are top notch and the selection of tap beers is amazing. I'm a cider person myself, and they always have the best cides on tap. The entire staff is great and very friendly!

This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in life. Used to go weekly for an entire year when there was a location in NE Mpls. Drink selection could stand to have less IPAs on tap but overall same amazing menu of burgers and fries. My go-to is a Mt.Mushmore with coleslaw and a fried egg. Jalapeño cheddar fries were excellent.
