I needed a diner experience today and Peoples did not disappoint. Great food, large servings, good coffee. It was an enjoyable experience with down home cooking. The staff was fantastic and friendly and dished out fun interaction. Will definitely go back and try more menu items. We enjoyed the hot beef sandwich, the Reuben, and a half order of biscuits and gravy. Pics included. Yes. That is a half order.

Should have called it the "White peoples cafe". Showed up and was very unwelcome. Right off the bat the server was very rude for no reason. We ordered our food and when it was brought to us it was brought out on broken plates with big chunks missing. Then when I pointed out my eggs were not done and the toast was burned to a crisp the waitress got mad. While she did have them remake my eggs and toast I was going to eat my hash browns and the realized they were done on the outside but uncooked in the middle. I wasn't even going to say anything at all but when the waitress came back with snotty eggs and burnt toast again I had to say something and she basically told me I was the problem not the food. I wish I had taken photos of what was served to me but I was so upset we just left after paying. Avoid this place unless you're a local.

Update terrible experience. 6/29/24. Doesn't even season hashbrowns or French fries and it was the owner cooking. Even though it's basic knowledge, that the best time to season your fries is right out of the fryer. Food took forever, and server was rude and only came to our table once. Small bathroom, and it's gross.
