Best place to hang out, listen to live music, enjoy fantastic cocktails, dine on some delicious food, and enjoy the cozy town of Carver! Highly recommend! Also don’t listen to that loony tune Laura Vogel leaving gibberish reviews about cars driving by that has nothing to do with Getaway Cafe. Sorry cars are loud, get over it.

LOUD! I drove 45min to try this place and left as soon as I could after I finished my coffee. The cortado was great and the breakfast burrito was ok, but if you are sensitive to sounds or just general overstimulation, this is *not* the place for you. Filled to the brim, inside and out, with shrieking children, music blasting on the patio (which I thought would be my only reprieve from the chaos inside), and some sort of turbo car parade up and down the street revving their engines as loud as possible. It was wild. And when I was ordering I was borderline screaming my order. I do bring earplugs with me to most places, as I am sensitive to sounds, but they did not stand a chance here. The patio, interiors, and building are cute though, lol.

Such a great spot. The staff is super friendly and gave great drink recommendations. The space inside is beautiful and chill, and the patio is even better, perfect for a sunny day. I had the blueberry basil latte and it was delicious… like summer in a cup. Fresh, a little sweet, and just different enough to be memorable. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.

Getaway is in my top 2-3 coffee shops in all of Minnesota. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. Service is consistently wonderful (I’m a weekly regular), coffee is very good, and they have an enjoyable pastry selection. I almost don’t wanna post this because I don’t want my secret coffee shop getting all busy, but they sure as heck deserve your business!
