Food was good, but kind of ordinary. Quaint place, but tables are pushed together. No space.
My wife and I were there for our 46th wedding anniversary - we love it there. Everything was fantastic - service (thank you Sam), food and wine. Our surprise - 40 minutes into our purposefully SLOW evening, we were told that tables have a 90-minute timeframe. We were purposely taking our time - to relax. We ended up feeling rushed at the end. I was unaware of this when we made the reservation. We will be back - but this will impact our planning and likely frequency.
We alway love the food, service and ambience at Buena Sera. The walleye cakes were fabulous along with our tasty meal, dessert and bottle of wine. Perfect spot for date night or a family birthday celebration. I feel lucky to live 3 minutes down the road from this special place!
The server was extremely knowledgeable with the specials which were many. She knew everything about every item on the menu. The atmosphere was very soothing and comfortable. The wine selection was vast and the food was exemplary! Will definitely be back!
Love supporting the local non-chain restaurant. Tucked away in a neighborhood away from the busy crowds. Good food good service would recommend.
The food was great. Server was great as well. Great place to get wonderful Italian food. It is pricey (3 people w 3 deserts over $100). However worth it as the food is so good-hard to find now days. I had the lobster ravioli, one person had the regular ravioli and third had shrimp pasta Limon. For deserts had the profiteroles and tiramui. The 2 others had coffee. All wonderful. We didn't do wine but they had a good selection. Only minor thing that might help is to wrote down specials. When we went there were two pastas, surf and turf w options, and a porkchop. Desert has a list and then I think 4 specials verbally. One person in my party is hard of hearing so missed some of what was said and all three of us for deserts were trying to remember. To be fair, not sure how often they switch so might not be possible.
Excellent food and service. The pacing between courses was perfect. The noise levels tend to make it hard to hear at the table at times.
Buona Sera is the perfect place to celebrate your special occasions and date nights! The food, service, and atmosphere are fantastic. Make sure to make a reservation, they are busy for all the right reasons. Buona Sera will become your tradition too!
Soooo delicious!!! The ambiance is fun, but it's also a small spot, so tight quarters. Makes it somewhat noisy, but still a lovely spot.
A true gem! Cozy and warm - wonderful place to celebrate any occasion. The owner Rafael is so lovely visiting guests throughout the evening, the staff are very attentive and the food is always amazing.

Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Very quaint. Tomato basil soup was delicious. Recommend highly
The rack of lamb was absolutely wonderful and my husband (78 yo) said his pork chop was the best he's ever had! Our server was great and the owner makes the rounds to greet guests. We love Buona Sera!
Always ALWAYS amazing. Rafael is always a gracious host, and I GREATLY suggest checking out whatever the server says he “just whipped up” in the kitchen. Always amazing food and service.
We've had the pleasure of dining here many times and have never been disappointed! Kim, our server was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Her recommendations were spot on! Our table had the bone in prime pork chop, lobster ravioli and veal saltimbocca. All were excellent!
Nothing extraordinary... I had different expectations! It was my birthday and nothing special happened. Two tables over they celebrated a person's birthday, so, I didn't understand what happened there!
