The grilled walleye was done perfectly, the vegetables were also very good. My friend had the mushroom, onion, cheese burger and onion rings. She stayed they were really good. The waitresses were friendly and attentive.

Nothing I couldn't make at home but my bowl was good. Drinks are average. Atmosphere is typical of a chain. Nothing to complain about but nothing to brag about either.

This restaurant has a great selection on their menu along with some fairly unique burgers and sandwiches. The state fair burger along with the nachos appetizer are awesome! The staff has always been friendly and the food is hot when it arrives.

I would give Clive's a 5-star for food, as it is usually really good. Today my meal was smothered in salt granules, and made what was already a little on the salty side super salty.

This was my first visit to Clive's Roadhouse. If never heard of it. I live on the otherside of town and was in Champlin around dinner time. I looked online and thought I'd give it a try.

What a great decision! The hostess said 45 minute wait to keep my expectations low but also said there's no way it's going to be 45 minutes.

I was seated in under 10 minutes and within 12 minutes I had a waitress at the ready to help me out.

There are a lot of options on the food menu, the specials menu and the drinks menu.

My son and I ordered a couple drinks and an appetizer (Clive's Nachos with beef and jalapenos) and there was way more food than I was expecting for the amount I paid. This was a HUGE order. I imagine it could feed 6 people.

However, we still wanted dinner so I boxed up the appetizer and ordered food.

The kitchen was fast and the food temperature was perfect. I ordered the jambalaya and it tasted as good as the jambalaya my Creole friend made for me. Note: it's not cajun at Clive's, it's Creole.

If I'm ever in this area again I will definitely stop by and try more things on their menu.

We had a great experience at Clives. The food is really good and our server Roxanne was amazing. Our family went as part of a group of 10 people. Lots of kids and families. Specialties and lots of menu choices so everyone found something that suited them.

Nice little spot for dinner! The “chicken fried chicken” with gravy was down-home good and I had leftovers multiple times over. Service was quick and atmosphere was pleasant!

Excellent food. I had the smoke house grilled chicken and it was great as well as huge. Lots of waffle fries and the sandwich was gigantic. Great friendly and fast service for a weekday lunch. Parking is tight. Fine at lunch, but at night lot is full and you'll probably have to park in the neighboring bank's parking lot. Which will also tell you that you have a pretty good wait for a table. Easy to find and get to. Highly recommended when not super busy.

I hadn't been to this restaurant in a while and decided to give it another try a few days ago. It was definitely busy when I arrived. There wasn't a wait, maybe because I wanted to sit outside. The service was decent - nothing to complain about, but nothing particularly memorable either

I ordered the fish and chips, which ended up being a bit of a let down. It wasn't bad, just kind of average and not quite what I was hoping for. Overall, it was an okay experience, but probably not something I'd rush back for. I will say I enjoyed sitting on the deck. There's a water fountain out front that is nice to see.
