El Toro Mexican Restaurant

El Toro was busy as heck when we went (awesome for them!) so service was a little slower, but all of the workers were very nice. I got chicken enchiladas and a marg which hit the spot. Also love a restaurant that brings out chips and salsa right away. YUM!

El Toro has been a classic establishment here in Champlin for years. Their food is delicious and the owner has always been so kind to stop by and say 'hi' when he's there. I couldn't recommend this more for a solid local neighborhood meal.

Showed up at 9:30 when they close at 11 on Friday, and their doors were locked. The server opened the door, asked if they were closed he said no then walked off. Another server came to us and said they close an hour and a half before they officially close.

They took my money and didn't give my delivery guy mu food. Called the store but they wouldn't answer. How could they behave like that, after they confirmed my order. Note trust worthy. Not buying anymore from here. Deceptive practice.

Food was great. They've been closed because of staffing and ICE, but were open tonight. They were short staffed and service was slow. Food was delicious. The people working there did their best.
We have been coming here for years and I am happy to support this business. I am glad they were so busy. This place is a gem!

Great food, fast, friendly service and good value for the money!

We tried to order food to go on sunday. My husband went and the business was closed. No sign on the dor with explanation. Anytime you call it just goes to voicemail and we cant get a hold of them to reverse thw charge. Don't order online without getting a person over the phone first! I think some newer reviews may be faked or paid for.

The staff is always welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious and pretty fast. We love the queso to start. The salsa is chunky and not too zippy. The quesadillas and fajitas are great. The Texas Cadillac margaritas are the best. Celebrating birthdays there are the best! The staff sings, they wear sombreros and the fried ice cream is really good. Gracious!

We are frequent customers and have loved it over the years. Sometimes the food is hit and miss depending on whoever is cooking and what time of day you go, but overall it still calls your name back for more. I will say the prices are starting to get out of hand, everytime we go there is a price increase.

This was an excellent mexican restaurant and it has been awhile since I've been to a good one.

As soon as I got in I was seated and they took my order as soon as I was ready. The server answered all my questions and was friendly.

The chips and salsa 5/5. It also came with mexican ranch. I personally dont like ranch but after trying their version is was sweet and amazing.

For my entree I order 3 street tacos el pastor with cheese at the bottom. 5/5
Don't judge me but for the 2nd taco I dipped it in cheese dip and yes it was delicious. The 3rd one I poured both cheese dip and salsa on top of it and yes it was also delicious. Im the type of person that likes to try and mix different things I could possibly work and the dish definitely worked together.

For my drink I got water and a mango margarita. 5/5
It was very good that I ordered a 2nd one.

For desert it was volcano. 5/5
I was debating on if I should get more ice cream or not and after trying it I finished the ice cream way before I before the chocolate part.

If anyone wants to eat delicious mexican food, this is the place to go. Especially around lunch time.

If you want to enjoy your meal, don't go here. Doesn't matter what the food tasted like. It was so fricken hot in their we had a terrible experience.
