Very average barbecue, nothing special brisket doesn't even taste smoked their vinaigrette, based barbecue sauce was the best thing about it. And expensive for the quality of food.

This is by far the best barbecue place I've ever been to. If I could give this restaurant 6 stars I would. Everything from the homey ambience to the drool worthy food items this place is everything you want in a bbq joint. Everybody that works here has always been so personable and attentive.

UPDATE 2024: They no longer take phone orders but that's ok! Inside ordering is quick for take out or eat in. Also keep coming back to their catering as it's always a big hit at parties!The food here is always great and is very authentic BBQ. Insider tip: Order ahead if you can to avoid long wait times.

Delicous!! We got 2 lb combo with ribs, chicken, and brisket. Comes with 5 sauces. Really great service and amazing food. Good casual ambience to sit and eat and take home leftovers

An unassuming spot that I've heard about for awhile, but hadn't had the chance to try. Q Fanatic didn't disappoint. The Q Club was solid, and honestly at $10 was one of the more affordable sandwiches of any reasonable size that I've had in any recent time. The brisket was top notch. Tender, flavorful, and plenty of house made BBQ sauces to choose from. Outside of a bit of an odd ordering process, everything lived up to the hype and would surely return.

The ribs were bland. I could not taste smoke or a rub. If not for the sauce there would not have been any flavor at all. My wife enjoyed her meal. She had the red beans and rice with chicken.

Delicious, authentic BBQ. Just like the BBQ I get while visiting family down south. I recommend the ribs, brisket, and the mac and cheese. The vodka pepper sauce is our favorite so far. The service is also great, and I love the music they play in the dining room.

It was good. I think they used Southern pride smokers... Got to meet platter. Whatever 30 Buck deal feeds two. I don't know all about that. Pat, the brisket was good and the pulled pork was good. The rolls were good. The coleslaw is definitely good. The beans were good. If you do use sauce I would go with your mustardy vinegary sauce but the meat I had didn't need sauce

One of our absolute favorites in MSP. Never a bad meal. We have been visiting this restaurant since shortly after moving to MN in 2018. Family owned and operated, with outstanding service, and a nice location. Their brisket is the best in town, hands down. The pulled pork is incredibly tender and juicy as well. Their smoked sausage is the perfect addition to a meat platter. Unconventional for a BBQ place, but their smoked veggies are UNBELIEVABLE! I never thought a BBQ restaurant would make me want to eat veggies with my brisket, but that medley of squash, zucchini, and carrots cannot be overlooked. With a variety of BBQ sauces, you can mix and match for unique flavors every time. We love their honey BBQ, mustard BBQ, and espresso BBQ. I can't speak highly enough about this place! But don't trust me, go try it for yourself!

I'm bumping Q Fanatic up - 5 stars! I've been back several times since my first review in 2014. I'm bumping them up from 4 stars to 5 stars. My experiences over the past 9 years have been great - consistently excellent meats and consistently awesome staff. LOW CARB: I have a new appreciation for Q Fanatic since switching to a low carbohydrate, carnivore eating style. I love that they sell meat by the pound. (I'm not forced to buy plant based sides.) My most recent favorites are the beef brisket and the hot links. And I really, really, really LOVE the giant selection of sauces. They obviously put a lot of effort into a big, impressive variety of house sauces...and my taste buds certainly love that they do it. I highly recommend that you check out the list of sauces and try a bunch of them. You won't be disappointed. Since my first review, Chef Guy Fieri also made a visit. They have a great signed photo of him in the front entryway. And one of his cool signed graffiti style stencils is on the wall behind the counter, next to the kitchen entrance. Cool!
