We called ahead asking what time their kitchen closes and they told me 9pm. I told them we were on the road, but wouldn't be there until about 8:50pm and they said that ok, if you get here about that time we will serve you. The bartender/ waitress was very friendly. The service was excellent. The food was also excellent, fresh and hot. The 4 of us said we would stop here again.

Not a fancy place, and doesn't need to be. We stopped on the way from Iowa to Minneapolis after seeing good reviews of the food. The steak bites were a very pleasant surprise.
We wanted to eat outside as that was the only option without the tall bar stools, and the gal behind the bar was very upfront that we would need to order at the bar due to their current staffing and other traffic, which I was more than willing to do. The moment the crowd inside started to thin, however, the bartender went out of her way to serve us right at our table. We were really impressed by the hospitality. I'd eat there again next time on my way to MPLS.
