Ordered a taco pizza . Crust was dry and hard to chew, sour cream was so rancid it was repulsive and the overall taste was much less than appealing. Extremely dissatisfied.

Ordered a Pepperoni with green olive pizza that came with green peppers and maybe 1 to 2 slices off pepperoni per slice & that's being generous. Pizza was also still doughy so it wasn't cooked properly. I'll be getting pizza from Mike's in Esko instead even if I can't get it delivered.

use to go there alot many years ago..back then they had great pizza.. but now..I'm guessing the new owner is adding way to much salt in the pizza.. Soo no I wouldn't suggest going there..unless u enjoy eating more salt and less pizza

they ran out of shredded lettuce for the taco pizza and sent us some black and brown moldy lettuce, absolutely disgusting.

I went to Southgate last week for their lunch buffet. I got there at about 1:10/1:15, buffet ends at 2. There was one partial pizza, some cheese bread and their salad bar. The pizza had been sitting out for some time, and was dry and semi room temp. I had some salad and one partial slice of pizza, as it was dry and not good. I asked an employee of they would be bringing any fresh pizza out. I was told that since the buffet is done at 2, they wouldn't be bringing anything new out. I was not impressed. The previous owners had pizza coming out one after the other, salad too, so that the food was fresh and appealing. The food has severely gone down hill. I would not recommend and will not return.

Just reviewing the Pizza and it's the best, that's the truth as I see it. There's never a piece left at my house and that saying alot. As far as the help, you get what you pay for and kids need jobs ( and supervision) but all said they make a great pizza.

5.5 on the barstool scale. Undercooked both pizzas. Not a good undercarriage, lots of flop. Crust is as bland as it gets. No flavors of garlic or onion or Italian herbs. Too much cheese for not enough sauce. Still pizza, but doesn't even surpass chain pizza to me.
We typically order from another locally owned pizza spot, but wanted to branch out and decided to give Southgate a try. The pepperoni pizza was good, I'd probably eat it again. The pizza fries were pretty undercooked, and although not raw, definitely not cooked completely. Unfortunately, they were super short staffed. I ordered online, paid (including delivery charge and tip) and was given a delivery time of 30 min. I called back after 60 min and our pizza was just going in the oven. I ended up driving to pick it up. Pretty disappointed, not sure if I'll return.Update... Was eating a leftover piece and found 2 hairs embedded in the piece I was eating.

This Restaurant is a must stop if you crave pizza and are rolling through Cloquet. We had the Spicy Buffalo Pizza and it was amazing. Due to Covid-19 seating is limited so get there early!

We ordered three pizzas & two pizza fries. Everything tasted wonderful, however we were over charged. I called & the gal that answered said she would have the manager call me -no call. Not happy about that.

Will never recommend this place, if I could give 0 stars I would. Ever since the new owners have taken over it has gone downhill. Too much cheese, pizza undercooked, young kids that work there cannot follow instructions (ex: please cook pizza until cheese is browned), no managers or owners to talk to just the young kids who have no idea how to run a business. We have given this place multiple chances to see if they changed anything. Tonight was the absolutely last straw. Specifically asked for the cheese to be browned and to cook it longer, picked up the order, brought it all the way home, and cheese was white and inside of pizza was all dough. Absolutely horrified. Called and asked for a new pizza to be delivered since we could not even eat it. Took over an hour to get delivered and it was worse than the first one. Terrible, never again. Pictures below. First one is the first uncooked pizza compared to our cooked pizza fry. Second is the replacement they sent. At least the inside of the second one was more done than the first. Get it together.******UPDATE: THERE WAS A HAIR WRAPPED IN MY PIECE OF PIZZA. IM MORTIFIED. NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE. EVER. THOSE KIDS PROBABLY DID IT ON PURPOSE. THE OWNERS SHOULD BE ASHAMED.
