I love the Blue Heron. I haven't been there for many years, because I live two hours away. This was a trip down memory lane. My sister, brother and I all worked there in the 1970's. We decided to have dinner there after attending our niece, nephew and three of their daughters' Spring Ice Skating Show in Richmond (where we grew up).The food was amazing, and the salad bar...YUM! It was as good as I remember it being nearly 50 years ago. We all made a second trip to the salad bar. Tomato bisque soup, delicious.We all enjoyed our various entrees, but ended up asking for doggie bags because there was so much food. I got to enjoy my meal a second time at home...silver linings!The server was very friendly and efficient. If you're looking for a supper club atmosphere with the bonus of a delicious meal, then look no further!

The food was pretty good, but there was no dish that stood out. It is an old time supper club with salad bar and tablecloth settings. It is kind of old reliable but do not go here looking for haute cuisine.

We hired Blue Heron to cater our wedding and we can’t recommend them enough! We had a tasting with Paul and it was so hard to choose what to pick for our wedding, it was all so good! My husband was looking forward to the food at our wedding for 10 months, ha. Paul was super responsive and answered any questions I had and was so helpful throughout the entire process. All of our guests kept telling us how great the food was. Thank you for everything!

Prime Rib was $31 per plate and about as thick as a pork chop. Bake potato under cooked and service very slow Salad bar nice. Probably won’t return

The Great Blue Heron catered my wedding at Crooked Willow. We did a plated meal and everything was amazing from the service, to the table setting, and to the meal it self.

We had them cater our wedding. It was absolutely delicious!!! The dinner was served hot and perfect. We did quite a few different tastings before deciding to go with the great blue heron. The other places were alright, but nothing to write home about. On the other hand: Paul, the chef, hit everything out of the park. He had a wonderful tasting set up for us so we could try several different options before deciding. We discussed costs, appetizers, ect. He was both much more professional than the other caterers we looked at, as well as much more prepared. His food was also much better. We are so happy we got catered by this restaurant because we can visit it in anniversaries to come since they have a stand alone restaurant as well.Overall: absolutely delicious and you definitely won’t leave disappointed or hungry.
