What an amazing place excellent atmosphere better than Filfillah and any other Middle Eastern restaurant that I’ve been to. Took my family and my kids there they all enjoyed the food they ate every bit of it which I was amazed and happy my kids are very picky eaters and their dessert the kenaf a... to die for O my god The only time you get stuff like this is in Chicago now it’s right here in my hometown. I gave this place five stars without a doubt

Louie (manager of Afandina) is one of the most thoughtful and generous people I’ve met. My husband and I planned our wedding & reception in less than four months due to an important person in our lives having stage IV cancer, so we got incredibly lucky that Louie was so willing to work with us and plan a dinner for 180 guests with relatively short turnaround time. He took the time to get to know us and gave us the gift of getting to know him and his family (who are incredibly kind). He went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had everything we needed for our wedding reception dinner, and was so supportive of the two of us and happy for our upcoming wedding. After confirming that the food was going to be for a wedding reception and noting that we didn’t have any dessert planned for our reception yet, Louie insisted that he was going to make us his own Baklava recipe (with pistachios) for the dessert as a gift from him to us. My whole family agreed it is the best baklava we’ve ever had. ☺️ I highly recommend the pistachio baklava to anyone who visits Afandina! Everything Louie prepared was so, so good and our guests and family really enjoyed it (and many commented that they’d not had such interesting/fun food at a wedding reception before). Louie prepared a generous amount of food for us based on the headcount we gave him, and for months we’ve been enjoying the leftovers that we froze. (We went and bought another small freezer two days after we got married because we had so much leftover food and wanted to have a place to keep it). My husband was very sad the day we finished the last bag of leftover chicken shawarma (months after the reception). I am incredibly grateful that we found Afandina and Louie. 😌

Vegetarian options: My sister (who is vegetarian and also doesn’t eat dairy or gluten) happily ate the falafel, rice, hummus and salad and was very content. ☺️

Chicken Shawarma plate does not come with tomatoes, pickles and dill like it is advertised on the picture! When I asked why, the rude lady told me that vegetables are only on google picture, but don’t actually come with the shawarma combo… I hate when people lie like that!
Very rude and unpleasant lady like it was mentioned in other comments! Dirty restroom! Will not be coming here again!

The patio was very nice. The food I got was good but they had no French fries and I was there for lunch so that seemed strange. The baklava was fantastic! However there was absolutely no other person dining there. I found that sort of unnerving. I ate on the patio and there was no one who came nor no one eating in the dinning room when I left.

I bring my family any time they are on town amd I go often. The most amazing food of the middle east amd thr most pleasant service . The owner evens comes to meet you . Just clean authentic good eating in a place of culture and immersion. I love Afanfinas and the best Bubba Ganush you will ever have ❤️🥰. We got pur food to go but we again decided to stay with the music and the atmosphere we didn't want to go anywhere else ❤️

Fantastic baba ghanoush! The chicken shwarma & chicken kabob bowls were also delicious. Great value and convenient parking. We got pick up but the interior decor made a welcoming atmosphere
