Overall experience was good, not great. I brought 5 family members to dine with me, and the positives were/are: 1) Ambiance - extremely lovely exterior - very welcoming. Equally-impressive interior - rustic in finished fashion. Lots of wood, stone and tile. Open kitchen, to watch the activity and to see the chicken rotisserie. Quite aromatic. 2) Restrooms - beautiful decor; clean. 3) Parking - dedicated section of golf course lot specific to the restaurant. Downside (principal) 1) Attention to ordering detail - there was misrepresentation of how baked potatoes were to be served. Meal came with baked potato, and the kitchen having put both butter and sour cream directly on the potato. As a multi-decade global traveler, I had not previously had such an experience. I found it to be most presumptuous to dress a baked potato v. putting dressings on the side. When I provided feedback of disappointment and sadness, the server’s response was “We always do them that way!” The server offered to replace the potato. To me, that translates to “Eat your entree’ while it’s hot, and you can rate the potato after your entree’ is finished. To me, this was not a reasonable solution. The remainder of the experience was favorable.
This place is a clubhouse at a golf course. The atmosphere is fantastic even though I don’t golf. The staff are excellent. The food is overall pretty good even with the high prices in part brought to you by Covid / build back better poor policies. Even though reservations aren’t required I would recommend them as this place gets busy in the evenings. Parking is more than adequate. Open air patio dining is available in nice weather. Do not get the Mac and cheese as there is no cheese and it is made with fettuccine noodles not macaroni noodles which wouldn’t be a big deal if there was any cheese in the mix. They do have PBR in long neck bottles for people like me who enjoy a PBR occasionally. I would eat here again, just never the Mac and cheese. Everyone in my party enjoyed their entrees and desserts .
Kendalls has nice rustic decor and friendly staff. Menu has a good assortment of dishes. We had burgers and chicken sandwiches. Burgers were very tasty, done as ordered. The servers don't write anything down, so we had a couple of mix ups, but they were quickly corrected. Full bar and very nice outdoor area for summer. Wr.
Course is kept in beautiful condition. Friendly staff. Only negative: because of all the corporate events it’s difficult to get tee times.
One of the best quality clubhouse restaurants in the cities. Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly!
Great atmosphere and golf course views! Enjoyed happy hour drinks and a selection of apps - steak bites are a must try! Nick, our bartender, was knowledgeable, personable, and made some great cocktails!
The food was excellent and the service was top notch!! Heather did a fantastic job - personable and professional. They were out of a couple items, gives us a reason to go back and try something different.
Beautiful 27 Hole course! If you’re looking for the Northwoods feel in the Metro area, Bunker Hills is your course of choice. Yesterday we played West/North but definitely enjoy East course also.
perfect cooking, drinks, service.
Loved the patio! The food was great! We plan on visiting it again.
Restaurantji Recommends
Had made reservations and they seated us back in the corner of the back room not in the restaurant. My sandwich arrived not as ordered and no apologies or offer to replace. Waited forever and had to ask for refills.
The parking situation created by all of the lazy golfers who refuse to park in the assigned parking is out of control. We frequent Kendall’s often and spend at LEAST 20 minutes searching for parking only to have ALL OF THE RESTAURANT PARKING taken by golfers. The message needs to be passed along to golfers in these tournaments and ENFORCED. We are getting on our last straw and will soon be looking for another restaurant to visit weekly.
We were with friends and decided to go to Kendall's on fathers day. I ordered Ribeye and it was done to perfection., The 6oz filet for 29.95 was so dry, this particular steak is suppose to melt in you mouth., very unsatisfactory!!
Fun on the 9 hole exec course. Good food in the restuarant
This is a very nice place with the wonderful patio overlooking the golf course. Great food and great service.
