Osaka Sushi & Hibachi Steakhouse

Very bad experience. To start the place looks pretty run down.. on top of that the food is awful. They also do not honor their own coupons specifically from Groupon! I’ve been to many Osakas and this is by far the worst one! My experience was so bad that I won’t even be using the $50 coupon that I have. It’ll go to waste because I have no desire to visit their restaurant again!

Eat local and support Osaka - the kids loved it, I have a food severe food allergy that they successfully accommodated, and my husband felt very celebrated for his birthday.

The food being delicious was just an addition to an overall great experience! Jimmy was amazing at accommodating our group.

When you add a 17% gratuity you will never get extra from me. I usually always give more especially if the service is good. But can tell you I won't come back because of it, if you want a good tip work for it don't expect it. Entitlement mentality will get you no where.

Our Osaka experience was AMAZING!!! Delicious food and incredible service! Jimmy was honestly the most thoughtful , conscientious waiter we have ever had. I am gluten free and he made absolutely sure to provide me with safe gluten free options! It was so nice to have an incredible meal that was safe in such a fun environment?

Let me start by saying I’ve never had a more horrible experience. I took my niece here for her first time and my 2nd time. I usually go to Benihana. Our waitress rushed us, ignored my nieces severe food allergy and pretended she couldn’t hear anything I said making it extremely difficult to communicate with her. I asked her for cooked sushi and she recommended raw sushi which I have a slight allergy too and felt a burning sensation immediately on my tongue. She tried to convince this raw meat was cooked and this type of ignorance continued until we got up and left the table after she gave my niece food containing things she was allergic too. When I tried to speak up she put her hand up to shush me and told me she was talking ( her dismissive attitude was just getting worse) . When I said I didn’t like her attitude she said she didn’t like me, which was very apparent from the moment we sat down. I believe we were stereotyped from the beginning. I could no longer take her rudeness, so we left the table after waiting almost a hour to be served in the first place. The manager promised to make it right and asked us to give them a second chance . He also promised us a gift card for our terrible ridiculous uncalled for experience. We simply wanted to eat and enjoy ourselves and my niece really wanted to stay so we waited another 30 minutes before being set again. Our second waiter and cook were very nice and mindful. However, when we were done we were gifted a $15 gift which is a i feel is very underwhelming for the experience we had. I asked to see a manager and was told I would have to wait because he was cooking. As I waited , the same rude waitress kept walking past us, stopping & staring me down. She was looking very deranged and I feared for mines and my nieces safety. We left without talking to a manager.
Also, as I was waiting I witnessed another waiter rushing another lady of African descent. I’ve just never experienced a service so horrible. I hear this is the standard at this restaurant. I’m not sure if all this was racially motivated but I’m simply appalled at the terrible service and the terrible attempt to make it right. This place needs to be closed down if no one wants to give actual good service.

Kid-friendliness: Our waitress had no respect for my nieces allergies or my pleas to be very careful of them.

All great, would go again

I had an overall good experience here at this location. The staff members were very friendly and welcoming. Not just with my table but I could see and hear how they interacted with the tables around us. The food tasted good and came out fast, fresh, and hot. Unlike most places the salads here were fresh and I didn’t have to pick out rotten pieces. If you’re looking for something fast and simple (but not too simple) I’d recommend coming here!

The atmosphere was very good, food could not have been better. The chef was entertaining. And the topper of our experience was our server Jimmy though the entire . He made the whole experience for my family, wife. And Me. He is by far the best Waiter I have ever had. I look forward returning again soon, and will ask for Jimmy as my Waiter. Simply put my family and I could not have had a more enjoyable experience.

We went here over the weekend and the service from the waitress and cook was above and beyond. Best service we have received in years. The day before we were downtown at a very expensive restaurant and Osaka outperformed them by far.
