The Pickles Cafe & Catering/ Mama Donato's Woodfired Pizza

I usually don't leave any reviews and like to support local businesses but I would advise to avoid this place if you can. A little background, our company used them for catering an event. The food was cold and was subpar. After the event I came to make the final payment for the invoice and found how disgusting, smally, and unorganized this place is. If a business is ran this way imagine how they make your food. I'm sure there's some health code and food handling concerns. Hope they get it together and make the necessary corrections.

Anna will make the an excuse that this is a small family owned business but this has nothing to do with being clean especially when you're in the food industry. No one is trying to market cleaning for them and charging a service fee. And the reason why reviews do not leave specific events and company name is because they want to remain anonymous. Instead of owning up their own mess and clean up by making corrections they just want to make excuses and blame it on other people.

Pickles Catering was our food vendor for our wedding reception and I'm not lying when I say how much the food was complimented! We only sampled the Penne Rosa as that was the only dish we REALLY wanted and it was great. We moved forward and ordered two different lasagnas, meatballs, salad, etc. for a nice manageable buffet. We were shocked when our guests were raving about the vegetarian lasagna! Delivery and returning of the rented chafing was a breeze and Anna is SO knowledgeable about how much food will fill your party, I recommend listening to her!!! Overall, we personally didn't get to eat much of our own food for the wedding so we WILL be hosting another small party soon and catering our wedding food in again! That's how delicious what we had was.

Had a lovely experience with wood fire pizza catering for my event! Food was delicious and set-up/serving was so smooth, but really valued her expertise in the planning stages regarding numbers and serving times. That was priceless in making our party a success. Would highly recommend!

Bummer this place took over instead of Emily’s. Emily’s was a neighborhood staple that was always busy and great to go to. I had high hopes of this place filling Emily’s shoes, and I’m pretty disappointed. It’s not what the neighborhood needs. The concept was always hard to grasp to begin with. Is it a catering business? Food trucks are there? You grab food to bring home and cook yourself? Felt like it tried to be too many things outside of what the neighborhood needs. We need a place to gather and have good food. Last I drove by, boxes were stacked in front of front door. Just appears to be more of a home base for a catering business. Awesome if catering is going well, but such a shame and hit for the neighborhood to lose Emily’s. Bring the neighborhood diner back.

I am very sad. There were no pickle appetizers, and no pickle themed anything on the menu. They didn’t even have pickle juice on the menu. This place has nothing to do with pickles.

We hired Pickles catering for our staff holiday luncheon. It was some of the best Italian food I have ever had. My staff can't stop talking about it. Thank you Anna! You and your team were wonderful to deal with. We will definitely be contacting you for future events.

This company catered a wedding I attended last weekend & knocked it OUT OF THE PARK! Such great food (esp the pizzas), grest service, & the staff was FUN. They kept the buffet line moving so quickly. Everyone had full bellies & full hearts. Thanks, Mama D's!

I can't recommend Pickles/Mam Donato's Woodfired Pizza more, for your bigger events. We hired them two years running for our kids' graduation parties and we're SOOOOOOOOOOO glad we did. Their all you can eat handmade pizza and salad were devoured by our 100+ guests; to RAVE reviews. They take care of all of the set-up and take down, so YOU can mingle with guests and enjoy the party. Anna is a dream to work with, and her staff are friendly and professional. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Highly, highly recommend!
