First they gave me someone else's order. Triple my order. Good thing I looked on the receipt stapled on the bag. Then they finally tracked my food down. I get outside open up my chicken lo mein dinner combination. The "lo mein" looked like wet chow mein with half raw white chicken and a few skinny noodles on top. Not the typical light brown lo mein I usually see in every Chinese restaurant. I was fed up by this point. It looked so unappetizing. I just wanted a refund. My husband egg roll was greasy and flavorless. Cream cheese wontons were dry and not freshly made. The only thing that was decent was the fried rice that came in husbands sesame chicken combo. I had to wait for the "boss" to get refunded. Save yourself some $ and go someplace else.

DO NOT EAT HERE. UNDERCOOKED CHICKEN. In addition to the chicken being wet and slimy, it was cold and pink. Immediately made me and my friend sick and we only tried a bite of each thing we ordered that was chicken. Brought the issue to the server and were brought the check and the consolation “heres a print off menu for you to read before your next visit”. Also it was 32$ for 2 people no appetizers, drank water, prices inaccurate to online

Advertise they close at eight yet when we came in at 7:29 they refused to seat us. If you say you're open till eight that should mean your kitchen is open till eight and you will serve people apparently they're making so much money that they can turn good customers away.. I live in Detroit Lakes and the local I won't be back. We went to Sapphire, who also close at eight and we're happy to seat us. The hibachi was delicious. I would suggest going to sapphire instead of Chinese dragon.

My husband and I were recently traveling through the area and decided we wanted Chinese food since it had been a while. The place is in a mall and has charming, traditional Chinese decor. The waitress was friendly and very efficient. That being said, the food was not good. The gravies were way too salty, flavors unappealing. The fried rice was okay. Wontons doughy, not crisp as a wonton should be. Not sure if it was just a bad day for the cook but it wasn’t a meal we would want to repeat.

We enjoyed our visit to the Chinese Dragon in Detroit Lakes. The decor and feel of the restaurant is very pleasant. I love that this restaurant is an order off the menu rather than the typical buffet style place.
Our server was prompt, friendly and happy to answer any of our questions.
The food was fresh and hot when it came out.
We ordered hot and sour soup, Mongolian Beef and chicken fried rice. The biggest issue we had with the food was flavor. The food, especially the meat, was fairly bland. The chicken in the fried rice was not cut properly there were a handful of large pieces of chicken rather than the chicken being cut into smaller pieces so it could be spread throughout the rice dish.
The Beef was also not seasoned very well.
The Hot and sour soup was also fairly bland.
On a good note the vegetables were cooked properly and were crisp and hot. Also the presentation of the meal was pleasant.
Overall it was a good experience we all just wished the Chinese Dragon would focus a little more on spices and flavor. I was able to compensate by adding lots of soy sauce!

We ordered chicken lo mein, sweet/sour chicken, sweet/sour pork, Mongolian beef, and fried rice. EVERYTHING was tasteless! Mongolian beef was soup like and in a gravy instead of a sauce. Weird! There was absolutely ZERO flavor except for the hint of cardamom in the fried rice. Never been to a Chinese restaurant that uses cardamom in their fried rice! Sorry, I won't back.

Lots of cool decor. They forewarned me that they were short on help, but no warning was needed. Very pleasant staff. Service was speedy. Food was good. I would definitely return.

A wide selection of Chinese dishes. Although a slightly different take on common recipes, everything I've tried has been tasty. The one to five spicy ? scale seems a bit on the low end so 5 is like medium.

Parking: It's in the Mall so park on the west side by the theater.

In a world of bad Chinese food, this may be the worst yet. There's no flavor on any of the dishes. They all taste like they came out of the same 5 gallon slop bucket. It would be hard to imagine putting less effort or care into crafting your dishes. Extremely disappointing, avoid all costs.

If you order the sweet and sour chicken make sure you ask them to keep the chicken and sweet and sour sauce separate. I’ve never seen it mixed together and it turns to mush when it’s take out.
