Always great service and amazing food. The remodel has really upped the game making Parallel feel like a high end streak house! Love it here!

Enjoyed dinner and drinks with my family last week. We all raved about how good the food was and the excellent service. We love the changes that have been made so far and are excited to see the final results. Looking forward to our next visit!

I am excited for the changes coming to Cormorant, including this Restaurant. Previously known as the Cormorant Inn, the new owners have renamed it parallel 46 and are raising the bar. The Prime Rib is amazing and they regularly sell out of it early in the evenings it is offered. The Walleye fillet I ordered was the largest I’ve seen and it can be prepared a few different ways. We really wanted to try the Wagyu, boar, and bison burger, so I hope they offer it again. The dessert list was tempting but I couldn’t eat another bite. This could end up being a new area favorite for us.

We drove 20 minutes from our lake home to The Cormorant Inn (now being renovated and re-named) with some high expectations. As we walked into the restaurant, we were hit by a solid wall of sound. The bar area was full of customers and they all seemed to be talking as loudly as possible, so I guess they were happy. Going on into the restaurant area, our hostess seated us as far away from the bar area as possible, so we were encouraged. However, we soon found that the two couples at the table next to us were also talking and laughing so loudly that it was almost a shock to one's eardrums. But, we were hopeful, in spite of this, as we ordered our meals. Our salads were served promptly and the greens were crisp and fresh but the cherry tomatoes were way past their prime and we had to set them aside. I ordered the Chicken Picatta with high hopes, my son ordered walleye fingers, a side salad, and an order of french fries. His wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich and side salad. She had a class of wine and he had a glass of beer. They were happy with their food. I was highly disappointed with the Chicken Picatta. There was hardly any sauce on the chicken and none on the bed of angel hair pasta. The chicken was in a heavy crust but was very dry and flavorless. and did not seem fresh. The noise from the next table continued and I gave up on my entree. The bill arrived promptly and was, I thought, way too high for what we had. My husband and I used to eat at The Cormorant Inn when it was new and under the original ownwership. The ceilings were very high which certainly were effective for noise reduction. The new owner has compleltely re-decorated and it is very attractive, but if they were going to lower the ceiling, they definitely should have used acoustical tiles. Somehow, I doubt that we will make the drive again.

Food was excellent. We were told a 15 minute wait for a table and 45-60 min wait for food. No worries, we aren’t in a hurry. 5 minutes we get a table and 20 minutes later the food arrives. Staff was very friendly. Food was awesome. Beer was cold. Great experience.
