Forever one of my favorite restaurants. Their walleye and creme brulee is amazing! We always sit at the bar and love it there.

beautiful atmosphere, view and good waiters. but wait was way too long and our food came out to be mediocre. we order steaks and chicken and it turned out to be all very underseasoned, not even any salt or pepper. steak was extremely dry and hard to swallow and drinks were overpriced filling up the cups with 90% ice 10% actual liquid. don't come here if you want bland food and make the drive to go somewhere else like mezzaluna or even texas roadhouse which is better!

The atmosphere is cozy but elegant, with natural textures like wood and leather and expansive views of the beautiful Detroit Lake.

The service is warm, friendly, and polite, and they give you time to savor each course.

The food is high quality and expertly prepared. Everything is absolutely perfect. I will be back again and again for special events!

This was my first time at Fireside. Food was delicious and service (bar) was great. We asked for carrots instead of broccolini and the server was amazing and convincing to the kitchen staff. All was great and will definitely go back. The fruitini is amazing too!!

2 hours from ordering to finishing my meal and worse experience in a very long time Ribs were tough and no flavor. Soup was watered down chemical taste, ranch was strange tasting, the place smells like an old bookstore.. we will never be back again! $145 for the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. High priced shoe leather & a root beer

The flies!! My god there were so many flies! All over us, our food, everywhere. Went there for my girlfriend’s birthday last night. Lovely food, good service….but they have to stop these damn flies.

Beautiful location right on the lake. But the food and the service were both mediocre. Walleye picatta, fried cauliflower

I have lived in Korea- yet NEVER have I had better Korean Barbecue than I did tonight with their Korean style rib appetizer. I even bought a second to take home!

The setting here is beautiful. Over looks the lake.
I have never been disappointed by the food. The bar up front makes it an easy stop for a drink and an app.

This is my favorite place to eat when I visit DL. The view of the lake is wonderful, as is the food and the service. I highly recommend!

Food is far too expensive for the quality. Limited sides come with the entree- soup or salad. Steaks were OK, nothing to write home about. Save a ton of money and seek another restaurant.

We enjoyed the rooster sandwich and the burger. The salad was excellent as well. The service was top notch.

Our server Jaycee was excellent. Our drinks were mixed to perfection. My filet mignon was superb and husband's baseball steak fantastic, as always. Table mates had walleye which they said was very delicious. You can count on consistency from beginning to end at The Fireside. Love it!
