The quality of the food had gone these days and the portion of the food is small. I remember it was better 6-7 years ago. You can see flies and mosquitoes giving you the company these days.

We ordered Tandoori Chicken and Garlic Naan. Tandoori Chicken is too frequently dry, but the chicken at this restaurant was quite moist and with the spices cooked to perfection. The Garlic Naan was very good as well.

Spoiled food served for buffet.
Visited this restaurant for the first time (weekend buffet) and had a poor experience. Not a clean environment. Tables were sticky, especially the baby booster seats looked like they were never cleaned. The bathrooms were terrible with the way to them almost blocked with stacked chairs. On top of everything, the dessert served was spoiled with fungal growth visible to the naked eye. Informed the waiter and she gave a very cold response to the feedback.

Soooooo good. Almost addicting. Egg biryani is a must try!
We shared dishes with our group. The Aloo Gobi, Palak Paneer, and the curries were amazing. Very authentic Indian cooking! Can’t wait to go there again.

After eating here for years changing my review to 2 stars due to declining service and food quality.
Even if you order ahead of time with a pickup time in place you will wait 20+ minutes for the order to be ready. And then you will get home and find that they missed something.
Avoid at all costs.

Since moving to Eagan a few years ago we have gotten take out from Bay leaf many times.
The vegetarian food is consistently delicious and flavorful. I ordered a fish dish once and will probably stick to the veggie options not because it was bad but because the vegetarian options are better.
Malai Kofta and Tandoori paneer with Samosas and garlic naan are our favorites. We usually try to get one of those entrees and try something else as our second entree to mix it up. I do wish for a few more Malai Kofta balls in that dish since there’s so much sauce it would be nice to have a few more to go with all of that delicious sauce.
A few things about the online ordering through the Bay Leaf website: 1. it would be great to have full menu descriptions like in the website menu in the ordering software to make it easier to know what is in each dish - I have some must avoid foods and some nice to avoid foods so that would make ordering more efficient. 2. The last time we ordered the site gave us the next available scheduled time and when I arrived to pick it up at that time a gentleman informed me that the food was sitting there done for 20 minutes because they don’t get the scheduled pick up time for the order with the order- he highly recommended calling after ordering online to find out when it will be done. I highly recommend they figure that out and change the system as it’s really not ideal to require online ordering shoppers to call and set a pick up time too! If I schedule a pick up time I expect it will be available and fresh at the scheduled time. If a ASAP option can be added that would be great for folks who aren’t trying to schedule a specific time and then they should be able to message you the pick up time instead of requiring a second point of contact from the customer.
