Their gluten-free items are good but the customer service the few times that I went was not very good. Staff was not very friendly.
All of the gluten free muffins are AMAZING! I don’t even realize they are gluten free. Try the lemon poppyseed! My local coffee shop, Bluenose coffee in Farmington serves their products and I’m in love.
Delicious pastries and reasonable prices.I will definitely return again before they close at the end of August this year 2022.
I haven't had the products yet, but the service and knowledge of the gentleman behind the counter was very good.
I went to this bakery all the time, but something happened because the quality just kept getting worse. Then the last time was awful and not only were our cupcakes dry, but we all felt sick after eating them. I would never go back.
Awesome baked goods! I don't need to eat gluten free but I still love coming for their frosted sugar cookies!! Yum! Very sweet people and very good sweets!
This is an amazing bakery! Such great service and GF like I’ve never tasted before! Amazing! Love bittersweet!!!❤️
Amazingly delicious goodies and wonderful people with a great atmosphere. I am not even gluten free but I was introduced through a co-worker who is, and I was so impressed that something GF free could actually taste good. Great find!
They have the absolute best donut holes ever! Thank you for providing a place where people with food allergies can go and get good food to eat. I have 2 daughters that have had food allergies. This is the only place around to meet their allergy needs.
My wife and daughter are both gluten free. A lot of what they eat, I don’t find particularly good. But everything that I have tried from Bittersweet has been very good. I have tried things from other gluten free bakeries and stores throughout the country. This one is my favorite.

Wonderful, simply outstanding products for those of us who are gluten free. Its not easy to make great tasting GF. Great staff with positive attitude and smiles!Bonus: supporting local business.
I have been gluten free over a decade and have made a point to visit all of the gluten free bakeries I can find when traveling the country. This bakery is at the bottom of the list in terms of quality and service. On the multiple times I've eaten products from Bittersweet, I've been left disappointed. They attempt to mask the bitter (ha) aftertaste of what is likely copious amounts of baking soda and xantham gum with sugar. The first bite tastes good, but then the flavor left in your mouth is not pleasant at all. Between that and the tendency to serve dry goods (likely no longer fresh?), I don't care for their products at all. They were one of the first gluten free bakeries in the area, but it's clear that they don't have the same level of skill or refined recipes we can find at other bakeries now.In addition to the quality, the service is lacking. A friend whose child is autisic shared a story that the owner told them that my friend "deserved what they got" when their son was diagnosed autistic (after receiving standard childhood vaccinations). The audacity and rudeness is astounding. The words of the owner are echoed by the signage around the store with similar misinformation. The staff of Bittersweet were also notorious for not following public health mandates during the pandemic. The disregard for public health is concerning.Between the poor quality of the product and the poor service, I will not be back.
I have tried numerous gluten free products from various stores over the years and many fail at flavor and consistency. But Bittersweet Bakery has nailed it! Their baked goods are delish! I wish I lived closer, I would go there more often.
This bakery has the BEST gluten free products out of all that I have tried. I love the variety and quality. If you haven't tried it, you definitely need to. Worth the trip!
I have a child with celiac and I have failed miserably at cooking him baked goods. This place is amazing! The cookies are awesome and the whole family enjoys them over any other bakery in town. Love the pizza and bread as well. I e always received excellent service from this family-run business. Sooo happy I found Bittersweet! Don't miss it!
