Great food! Had the enchiladas rancheras and it was delicious. Ordered the queso dip to go with the free chips and salsa and they have the best queso. Nice restaurant and fantastic staff. This location is owned by the people who own the location in Circle Pines which is where we typically go, so they have same menu items so we could get our favorite: enchiladas rancheras, which we highly recommend!

I can’t speak more positively of El Loro. No matter when I come, I always get a server that’s full of life and extremely attentive. Even when it’s a packed house, I never feel abandoned or a need to wave down our server which is such a luxury!

Service aside, the food is the best I’ve ever had. El Loro was the first Mexican restaurant I’ve tried up here so I kept looking for better… take it from me and everyone I’ve asked: there is no better!

Just had dinner take out from El Loro located on Yankee Doodle. Worst food and service for takeout ever. Husband went in ordered food was told it would take 10 minutes. 20 minutes later food still not ready. Food comes out they don't have his tacos. The container that mine came in looked like it had gone through a battle. His tacos were cold. The taste of the burrito and enchilada that I had had so much tomato sauce on it that's all you could taste. We've been here before and it was fine taste was very blah I guess I would say cuz I couldn't taste anything except the sauce that was on top of it. Would definitely not recommend going there now for the prices at their charging. Spent almost $40 and it definitely wasn't worth it.

El Loro is a remanent of a dying American institution: a sit down mexican-american joint where the salsa flows freely, the margaritas and portions are king sized, and the prices are reasonable. I love coming here and getting take out because everything is generous for the price, and always enjoyable.

While fast casual and fancy both serve their purpose, this medium eatery is nostalgic and increasingly rare. Support them!

I ordered chicken flautas and chicken tacos, rice and beans. Tasteless to the highest power. I was so disappointed, and surprised because I thought it was an authentic Mexican Restaurant. (Real Mexican food is full of flavor). Do better please. Hard earn dollars paid on food that did not rate even two Stars.

This is our regular dinner place after dance class about once a week for the past year, the food is always good, and prices are pretty good for the area. Always clean, everyone's nice. Wish there were more places like this.

I wish I knew our waiter's name. He not only seated everybody but he waited on us as if we were the only ones there even though we weren't.
