The food was not good. Terribly expensive just to set your gag reflex off. Our waitress was nice but all others treated us like we were the scum of the earth. Will never go again.

Very rude. When I asked for a booth instead of a high top she slammed the menus on the host stand and walked me over to a both to set the menu down and looked back at me with a scowl. Not a good way to start my dinner when Iâm paying a lot. Waiter was great though. Hostess not so much.

I usually come here with friends to catch up, celebrate birthdays, etc., but today I left completely shocked by how I was treated. My daughter just turned 10. She takes Adderall, which affects her appetite, so she often thinks sheâs hungry and then canât eat much once the medication kicks in. Today she really wanted to celebrate her birthday with lunch at Kyoto and said she was very hungry. By the time our food arrived, her medication must have kicked in because she literally took ONE bite of rice and was done. I didnât order extra food because I already knew Iâd have to eat what she couldnât so it wouldnât go to wasteâand I did.
Our server watched this happen. Before I started eating her food, he asked if I planned to order more and I told him probably not, since Iâd be eating her portion because she wouldnât. He said okay. After I finished, he again asked if I wanted more food. I explained I was full from eating my daughterâs meal and that it essentially became my second portion. (We ordered fried rice, beef and chicken teriyaki, broccoli tempura, and dumplings.) He still seemed confused about why my daughter wouldnât eat, asking her if the food was good, and I again explained the situation with her medication.
When the bill came, I was charged the full adult price for her meal with no consideration that she barely ate. I paid, but didnât leave a tip because I was charged an additional $25 that could have easily been avoided if any understanding or flexibility had been shownâthat could have been his tip. I spoke with the woman at the front, who told me it didnât matter that my daughter only had one bite because ordering the food automatically meant the all-you-can-eat charge unless she said she wasnât going to eat prior to me ordering. She spoke with the server, came back, and repeated the same response. Then another employee came over and, instead of discussing the issue in English so I could understand, they spoke in their native language and he began raising his voice, interrupting me, and insisting it didnât matter if she only had one biteâbecause she is 10 years old, she is charged as an adult. I let them know I had no issue paying for the food, but knowing AND SEEING she literally took one bite, they could have at least discounted it or charged her as a CHILD in which she is. But they were not willing to do the right thing.

They stiffed my reservation that I had made a day in advance and had verified with them. Terrible service!

Made a reservation for Valentineâs Day. Called twice to confirm, but when we got there, they were so busy, they refused to honor it. The staff was overworked and rude. I will never go back here.

Restaurantji Recommends
Ordered a sushi roll, which was midiocre, then had the steak and chicken habachi, which both meats were overcooked, had no flavor, and extremely chewy. Would not recommend. Service was okay, I think our server was new. Atmosphere was okay, very busy, lots of families so it was somewhat messy, but understandable.

All you can eat sushi is fun. Otherwise Ă la carte items are good. It scratches my sushi itch when I get cravings.
