La Fonda De Los Lobos

After more than 30 years in business. La Fonda closed its doors yesterday. It was a family own restaurant and the people who ate there were mostly regulars passing a tradition generation to generation. Soo sad that a place like this where you can come in and have memories of some of the most important parts of your life has closed. It was a neighborhood restaurant. And nowhere else we will be able to find the food it was serve here. We will miss you Trujillo family and your restaurant.

Great experience! Staff was friendly, food was really good: I ordered the fajitas and a margarita, they also had unlimited chips and salsa as compliments, other ordered the loborito and it was great, as usual, the atmosphere was welcoming and warm. Would recommend, if they are still open!

This place has a restaurant and a bar. It has bingo on Saturday and it always busy. There is always a nice crowd here and the staff I'd friendly. The food is amazing, and the location away from things is perfect. I highly recommend this place. If you're coming off 13 take a U turn at Black Hawk and turn at Shawnee

The service was friendly and all the staff were very nice. Unfortunately the service is pretty slow and we were the only group of 4 in the restaurant. We waited about 30-40 minutes for our food and our apps.

Food was hit and miss. Chips and salsa were good, as was the chicken and rice burrito. House margaritas were about the best I've had from any Mexico restaurant. The guacamole was poor (tasted like it came from prepackaged food service; definitely not made from scratch). Service was very slow (despite what looked to be plenty of servers for how relatively not busy it was). Food took over 40 minutes to arrive. I had to ask about our appetizer, which took about 30 minutes (it was guacamole). Two orders were incorrect. Items were not comped. Overall, it may have been an off night, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again.

I give this place 5 stars from the moment we entered until it was time to leave we were treated with great hospitality. The Food is very nice and tasteful!!!! This place is very authentic and unique! We will be coming back!

Found our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Love this place! Food was excellent, staff was on point. We couldn't have had a better experience.

The food was okay. I liked how it was clean and family friendly. I go here with my mom sometimes, because she loves this place. The manager and the waiter were really nice. The problem was it took 15 minuets to pay.

Wonderful restaurant. My family has been coming here since the 70s. The staff is wonderful, food is great. Enchiladas, green chili, and the fried ice cream are some of my favorites! Margaritas are great too!

Great atmosphere, SUPER clean restaurant, the bathrooms are always very clean as well. Friendly staff and quick service. Wish they had more deals, kids eat free or a better happy hour!
