I was glad to be in the Twin Cities for the workday and to share a meal with my son. He lives near Lone Oak Grill, so we decided to check it out as a possible new hangout spot.

When we arrived, the place was nearly empty. It’s still took too long for us to see our server —but soon after she greeted us, a large party of about 20 came in. From that point on, it felt like all of our server’s attention went to that group. Even though there were other staff members around, no one else seemed to take responsibility for our table.

When our food finally came, it was lukewarm. Our server was kind when she did stop by, but overall the experience felt lackluster at best. I’m glad we gave it a try, but I’m not sure I’d go back.

The brisket pizza was the most original and best thing our group of four ordered. We really enjoyed the bread pudding afterwards, but unfortunately the coffee we ordered with it was very subpar.

I had the Hot Chicago sandwich and it was extremely tasty! The steak was perfectly cooked and tender. Would definitely recommend and get it again. Our bartenders Misha and Dan were also extremely cordial and attentive. With great food, great music and great service this bar can’t be beat!

It was my first time at the restaurant. RJ, our server, was so very nice. The artichoke dip was amazing. The loaded grilled cheese has convinced me that all grilled cheese sandwiches should be made this way from now on. Yum. The loan oak burger was a favorite for my sister.

The best traditional wings. Sweet Thai chili is my favorite! Great service and food options!

Nothing bad to say about the service or food. The atmosphere just felt off, since there was a Vikings game that had just ended. Loads of people left, we got there and it felt like the restaurant was in a weird transition. We had to ask for silverware. Ask for napkins. Just things that probably would've been set on the table already had it not been this transitional timing.

The food was really great though. I ordered the chili and a side of waffle fries. Both were DELICIOUS.

Nice atmosphere but service & food were both sub par. We were starving upon arrival & were told we couldn’t order apps with our drinks, had to wait. Apps then came out AFTER our entres. I asked waiter about beer options & he didn’t know, just said to look at the menu. Food was super mid - spinach artichoke dip was mainly some other chopped vegetables, super hard to scoop & nobody was overly impressed with any of the other entres. Wouldn’t return or recommend.
