I love this place...it's the only place I would choose for food and good quality service. One of the bartenders, Iris, is the best. She is fast and does a great job with drinks and is so sweet and caring. But lately, the consistency of my breakfast food hasn't been that good. Last weekend, I found a hair in my potatoes and the only thing they did when I told the bartender was offer me a drink. I still had to buy my breakfast despite only eating the omlette. My breakfast has been very greasy and hardly warm and the toast is either over toasted or not warm and barely toasted and soggy. I request my food to be well done and crispy potatoes to suck up the grease and they haven't been done that way consistently. Made to order food takes longer than 10 mins...more like 15 to 20 mins to make sure you're not eating a plate of grease. They need to get their consistency back...just because they're busy in summer doesn't mean food needs to suffer. But this doesn't mean I won't go here anymore...they just need to fix the problems!!!

One meal was fantastic, the other meal was bland. Good and fast service!

Grilled Caesar sandwich was delicious. The Bread is covered in a Parmesan crust and not dry at all.

Italian beef and pasta dishes hit the spot. Haven’t had a bad meal here yet.

Kids are big fans of the boneless wings - very saucy and good portion size. Burgers went over well too as well as the wildcat fries.

Large bar area and indoor/outdoor seating. Pull tabs available while you pass the time.

Lighting is a bit dim, but that gives it the ambiance. Always crowded and a bit loud but you’re still able to carry on a conversation.

Had dinner and drinks. Shredded pork power bowl and fish dinner, my wife had the shredded pork power bowl which see thought was really good, for the fish dinner I probably should have went with battered deep fried as opposed to the pan fry. Pan fry was more greasy if you can imagine! Over all would go back absolutely! Service was very good as we were followed up on frequently! That’s a huge plus! Thank you

We came here for the Vikings Game. The food was really good loved the Nachos so crispy. The chicken wings looked amazing. It was bit hard to hear in the small space. The only negative thing we really had to say was it was advertised to have a drawing for a raffle every quarter and they didn't really do that we had to ask to be apart of the half time drawing. Seems that if your going to advertise a drawing you should make sure everyone can be apart of it.

Came here for dinner & it was great! We split an order of chicken strips & it was plenty. Very large strips & a good helping. Very delicious too. A side of onion rings were yummy too. Great service also.

NFL FANS BEWARE: this bar does NOT have Sunday Ticket. I'm a MN transplant with a few masochistic tendencies. I just wanted to hang out with my friends and watch my beloved Chicago Bears run one down the side of their leg. Like they ALWAYS DO. My expectations were reasonable. The queens weren't even playing at the same time. (eff the queens) This bar has 15 TVs. No tickey... Maybe you take a slice of the pull tab revenue and slide it over to the cable budget.... I'm sure the 1950's roof antenna can be sent up state by now. Bury it in the pasture next to the dream of the packers making it to a super bowl before 2030. 15 TVs, one 3pm game?!? Fumble on the play, turnover, try a different bar.

Prompt service, nice outdoor patio, and good beer selection. Will be back to try some other things on the menu soon.

The wings are VERY good as well.

I keep coming back to this place. I love the food and service. Their bier selection is decent.

Food was not the highlight, and cocktail drinks too heavy asked to have them go light on the vodka, but they just don't. It's a chip, salsa, and ice tea, maybe a beer adult only atmosphere. If you want a good time.

I stopped by last night around 8:15 pm. I sat at the bar. A female bartender (longer blonde hair, 30’s?) approached me with a bottle of Mich Ultra in her hand and said “I remember you, you drink Ultra” and began to put it down in front of me. I said I wasn’t sure yet and asked if there were any beer specials/late night happy hour. She put the bottle down behind the bar, wheeled around and walked away. She ignored me for a couple of minutes…during which I took out some $ to play an etab machine.

When she finally came back I told her I would take the Ultra (seemed easiest since it seemed clear she had some sort of issue with me or was having a bad day) and an etab machine. She put the beer down, grabbed my etab money and said that she remembered me because last time I was in I only left her a quarter as a tip! She said she remembered me by my WE fest shirt and quarter tip. I told her that she was wrong, that I’ve never left just a quarter tip and hadn’t been in to this bar for many months. She wheeled around, threw an etab machine in front of me and went to put my money on the machine. When she returned I tried to explain that she was mistaken, I hadn’t been into the bar for many months (and the last time I was there I had a male bartender) but she wouldn’t hear it. She was very rude and demanded that she was right.

I cashed out the money I had just put on the etab machine, paid for my beer which I had only two sips from, for some reason tipped her $1.25, and walked out. VERY bad experience totally due to the bartender!

I’ve been to this bar about 5 times since it opened many years ago. There are many bars in Eagan and based on this experience, there is no reason for me or my friends to go back to Trail Stop.

When we sat at our table, the waiter took our drink orders. It took about 5 minutes for our drinks. Then he noticed that there were no menus. We ordered what we wanted and had an enjoyable time. The waiter then brought our bill. It was a good thing I reviewed it as we were going to be charged 60% more for 1 drink, 1 water, and 1 appetizer. The waiter mentioned he was using a new machine to him and was getting used to it.

My suggestions are:

Make sure your staff have a clear understanding of checking the bills they are handing out and making sure the bill matches the table.

Be sure the guests have their drinks in a reasonable amount of time and menus in hand to review while waiting for their drinks and be able to order when the drinks arrive.
